So who's seen it?

I personally think Andrew Niccol makes a better writer than a director; as much as there was to love about "Gattaca," the whole experience seemed a bit too sterile. That air of detachment, though, suits "Lord of War" pretty well. The narrative moves with assurance, and the acting is pretty good all around.

More than anything, I love how the film lets you drink in the atmosphere of shitholes like Liberia.

I haven't seen it, but I hear, visually any way, that its pretty good. I would go see it for the opening scene alone, which follows the life of a bullet, from its creation, often right by its side, all the way to the head of some kid in Africa. That sounds like an amazing scene . . .

i saw it yesterday and in my opinion it was quite a good movie. it has a decent storyline, and nicolas cage looks totally stylish wearing his suit everywhere. good acting on his behalf, some alright action scenes and a good depiction of some very poor wartorn african countries. overall a good movie and the opening scene is definitly a unique one.

Great movie, way more accessible than Gattaca. Best Cage role since Adaptation. See it

I researched a couple of the gun runners that Cage's character in the movie was based on. I'm pretty sure most of the events of the film are almost exactly like real life, even down to the feel of it.

It is a shockingly good movie considering it's not so thought provoking poster. It is amazing, I was damned surprised. Same maker of The Truman Show.

Little too gratuitous for my taste, but a definite visual tour-de-force. The opneing shot and the shot when his airplane gets dis-assembled are really cool.

He also produced and wrote Lord of War, and The Truman Show.

Gattaca was damn good... This guy has a very eclectic resume.

He also wrote, directed and produced an Al Pacino/Wynona Ryder flick called S1m0ne...looks very interesting. Strange I've never heard of it...

soo does coke and gunpowder really make you trip like that?
if his brother was the same guy from requiem for a dream, he plays a good drug addict

Yeh it's Jared Leto. He is amazing. He also reminds me of Jennifer Connely (his girlfriend in requiem for a dream) in an odd way...

It's a very interesting and moving picture.

despite jared leto, this was a good movie. i'm surprised it didn't do better at the box office.
