Let's start with the title (although films titles don't neccesarily reflect ther quality, I couldn't help but laugh when I heard about Tarantino's greatest "masterpiece")... Kill Bill - volume 1... right from the beginning, it's obviously the work of a genius. I mean Bill rhymes with Kill! Classic, unforgetable film making right from the get go.
perhaps it's ironic? perhaps it's a joke?
i think it's actually quite clever. all the movies that tarantino has directed have had - perhaps coincidentally - two-word titles.
this, however, is the only one which is not a (proper) noun. indeed, it's a grammatically correct sentence in only two words. it's also mysterious - is it an imperative to bill to kill? is it an imperative to an (as yet unknown) third party to "kill bill"?
who knows but perhaps there's a little more to this simple, catchy title than meets the eye?
if 33% of your critique is the title of the movie and another 33% is an (as yet) groundless insult to the acting, need you say more?
in my view yes - you need to say a lot more
