The film was made for the right reason (questioning whether or not Bush made the best decisions) but I think was presented in the wrong way. As much as I agree that Bush has taken the war on terror in wrong directions with time wasted in Iraq and has mishandled many situations, F911 has left me questioning Michael Moore's motives as well and I see them just as self-important as Bush's motives. What stood out the most for me was that it was obvious Moore's questions to the senators and their reactions were edited and out of context with each other. This film was made for one reason - to tug at the heart and cloud your judgement with emotional blackmail. As a matter of fact, I see no fundamental difference between this movie and The Passion Of The Christ.

Finally got around to seeing this after it became apparent that our local cinema complex decided to delay the films showing. It's still isn't on now, so I downloaded it instead . :\

Well despite being an anti-war liberal (but a fiscal conservative), I am over half way through this film and I have decided to give this doco a lowly 2 stars. Mainly because it just full of wishy-washy arguments and long periods of irrelevant chit-chat. Bowling for columbine had much more impact despite iraq and 9/11 being much bigger topics than gun control. I've heard much of politics that have gone over the last few years regarding the bush admin and as much as I desent them, this doco didn't really effect me. If I want to hear an intelligent documentary, give me the bbc anyday over michael moore. Despite the BBC islamic bias, they at least construct their arguments clearly and without blabbering on.

I agree with a lot of the link.

People Infact, I voted that the movie was a 3 out of 4 stars (and would say 3.5 if there were an option). I think people are misinterpreting my post with me actually bashing Moore or calling the guy a fat asshole. I'm not. Someone simply asked a question and I answered.

does this mean you actually watched the film that you've posted about numberous times;)

you'll probably notice a lot of the people on the board bash the film before seeing it, some probably never actually going to bother seeing it.

that's like saying "I don't like chocolate ice cream even if I've never eaten it" ?

i think moore is the new donquichote, he think he can change the outcome of an election with a movie :\ ...i wish him good luck, but i m afraid it wont help alot, the movie is probably "fun" though :)

i agree with em, cuz to be honest ,i didnt c it either, i saw his previous movie and it was quite fun to watch, so I assume this one will be fun too, but the fact that he thinks he can change the election with a movie is a bridge 2 far me, in the end donquichote is a loser, he should eat less hamburgers ;)

This movie won't change the election. I mean how can you convince someone to vote for the other side unless you can provide clear and powerful reasoning? The funny this is moore doesn't get this concept, he simply rehashed his 'entertainment' formula from his previous films. If this hadn't been on a topic that I am heavily interested in, I would switched it off after little over half an hour!

if you didn't see the movie, how can you post comments about it ?

IMO, moore has at least made Americans think about what they do with their votes - regardless if it sways the election or not it will have some impact to the voters decisions after seeing it.

the thing is - it hasn't.

it hasn't convinced anyone to vote either way - mostly because of his lack of journalistic integrity. people here for the most part are still going to vote for whoever they were going to vote for before - and moore has done nothing save polarize more people.

michael usually i end up agreeing w/ you whether i want to or not but please explain to me how you're in any position to make that statement.

about his lack of integrity or about how i don't think it's changed anyone's opinion?

the reason i don't think it's changed any votes is based on people i have spoken to. his lack of integrity speaks for itself.

exactly!! maybe i will go c the movie ( who knows?), but it wont change my attitude, it wont change my attitude about moore nor will it change my attitude about the election ( and i m not an american citizen so i dont need to worry bout the rights that r dervived from god, u knowwhat i mean? ;)
il wait until a friend of mine wants to rent it somewhere ( somewhere in the past perhaps?) i dont wanna pay and support moore :)

not being there i don't see if it influences people in any way, but i wouldn't underestimate the power of a movie.
you'd be surprised to know how many votes jacques chirac won because of his likeable puppet on the tv show "les guignols"

maybe so, but if u r someone that decides to vote for someone on basis of a movie, well ( i hate to say this ) then i have my doubts about ur intelligence.

peace
