wizekrak sums my thought well in his review, which was written better than i could've done.
In addition, i found the pacingvery uneven. Far too much of the (very exciting) action happens at the start of the film. The film seems to lose all of it's pace after the well publicised car crash scene.

Not usually a fan of Bond films, but I thought they did realy well with this one. It didn't seem as cheesy as the last few - which is a good thing. Daniel Craig makes a really good Bond, IMO. The acting also seemed pretty good and believable most of the time.
My only gripes would be the lack of decent female totty, not seeing enough of the DBS and the slight OTT last scene. But that's just being picky!
i agree totally. i disliked the bond girl Vespen A LOT. the producers should have switched her with the first girl Bond sleeps with. it was still a good movie though. i dont understand the dislike of poker in the movie. he almost dies like 5 times while he's trying to play. fuckin badass

Casino Royale would have to be my favourite Bond film - and i have seen most of them. Daniel Craig is fantastic.
By the by, the next Bond film, starring Craig as well, Bond 22 is going to have a homoerotic relationship between Bond and another secret agent

Right after the card game they should have ended the movie, right up till then we liked it, then it went to shit! We kept saying to each other, when is this fucking drivel going to end and just when the camera was panning out and we were thinking thank fuck its the end, BOOF, another scene!

I gave it all the stars I could because I was really really impressed by it. I'm a massive Bond fan though have been slack in getting to the cinema to see it. So I finally did and I just loved it. Lately I've been watching some of the past Bond films and it was refreshing to just have a 'movie' as opposed to some far-fetched yarn. Don't get me wrong, I love the far-fetched stuff, but this was just a great change.

Definantly one of my fave Bond films. I heard that one of the Bond girls was a sex-changed tranny so I spent half the film thinking is that her, is that her, not wanting to think phooaarr over a tranny.
I really liked how they used Texas hold'em rather than baccarat, brings the bond films into the 21st century. But I think it was a bit too drawn out with too much cards. (But I guess it WAS called Casino Royale)
The new Astin Martin was SUCH an awesome car but the car chase was lame, only lasting about 2 minutes. Bond is all about car chases!

I really liked the new spin on Bond...alot of my gf's couldnt get passed the bland bond....which kinda ruined it for them...but i guess they watch it for the sex appeal to begin w/
Im w/ everyone else though...i was tired of the gadgetty bond of the last few films....it got soo corny...Im diggin the more masculine no BS, lets just handle business bond....
