Did Jeebus make you a feminist as well as an arse?
While I really, really don't want to sound like some overly-virtuous, holier than thou, self-righteous, party pooping, politically correct bellend...
...Occasionally on EADD we like to break out into a philosophical outlook on lifes issues, with a protracted discussion that generally get's no-where.
I think FHM is a misogynistic plethora of trash and if it wasn't for the glossy pages I'd be wiping my arse with it. There's some kind of male pride which co-exists in many, where we feel the need to objectify woman and rate them in terms of tummy tucks, photoshops, fake hair dye and heavy eyeliner. FHM have recognised this weak tendency in males and tapped into it to make themselves lot's of money out of it.
While they're selling lot's of magazines and going on cruise holidays around the world, their abuse of their media position can lead woman to feel they have standards which they have to live upto, yet only a very small percentage can realistically match. Therein creates a host of body image issues which can lead to depression, then eating disorders, behavioural problems etc. obviously it varies case to case, person to person, but you catch my gist?.... not much good comes from their 100 fittest woman annual charts.
If you think I'm wrong in my opinion please give a structured, logical, thoughtful response... or if you can't do that feel free to continue making fun of my religious beliefs some more...
