festivals 2010

Just had a quick look at big chill and im quite tempted to go. Anyone else?

I can not reccomend this festival enough!

I have been ... 2003, 2004, 2007, 2008 & 2009 and it has always been spot on.

I'm thinking of going again this year and along with an even smaller festival called Festinho. Dirt cheap and with a lot of Big Chill artists playing.

they left there tent on the bus.
one of the lads had a good water bong=made the DMT sweet.

re codders.if he keeps doing the diaz he will become the loch ness monster.

What was their excuse for not having booze or furries? :D

How is sonar in Barcelona? Good place to drop a bomb and dance all night?

Sonar is the best EDM festival in Europe, FACT :)

'Sonar is arguably the most important electronic music festival in the world. The word has come to represent a catchall term for an entire four days worth of Barcelona-based debauchery, but at the core of the weekend is a spectacular dual location event, with an almost bloody-minded devotion to juxtaposing cutting-edge experimentalism, with tastefully selected headliners. The amount of noteworthy artists gracing this year's event are simply too numerous to cover here in full, but particular attention should be paid to Sonar By Day performances from Broadcast, Cluster, Elektro Guzzi, Pete Tong (!?), King Midas Sound and Nosaj Thing. Sonar By Night meanwhile, looks as strong as it's been in its 17-year history. Air, LCD Soundsystem, Plastikman, Flying Lotus and Hot Chip loom large over Friday; The Chemical Brothers, Roxy Music, Sandwell District, Zomby and Dizzee Rascal boss Saturday. 2010 also marks the opening of a simultaneous sister event in the northern Spanish city of A Coruna, with many of the heavy-hitters appearing in Catalonia also playing the Galicia event. We'll go out on a limb and say that the countless "off" Sonar events will serve-up something for almost every electronic music persuasion, which, also bearing in mind the festival's luxurious proximity to the beach, should only serve to reinforce to point we made at the outset. '

Then you have all the Off Sonar events, which have crazy lineups. http://www.facebook.com/home.php?ref=logo#!/pages/Off-Sonar-Barcelona-/101057589943845?ref=search

It does not get any better than Sonar.

I might be going to Wickerman but possibly not, as cheap as it is it'll still end up costing a fair bit and I'm trying to save all the cash I can for going travelling again.

Rockness was Brilliant. Highlights were; Chase & Status, Green Velvet, 2manyDJs, Plan B

Gutted I missed Club 75, Fatboyslim, Leftfield

Download was incredible. Rage Against the Machine were fucking insane. There were people getting thrown over the front and carried off on stretchers. We were at the front, and it was pretty rough. They had to stop playing several times, because people were getting hurt, and security weren't one bit happy. We didn't even leave the tent on Sunday due to rain, but it was hilarious. The crowd were great, as usual.
