Festival Season

i was going to go last year but it rainedddd, and i was going to go this year but theres a phat festival in kanas called WAKARUSA and its june 7-10

missed it 2 years in a row fucking lame

but yes if you all can go I heard its fucking NUTSSSS
 
Yeah, I saw a flyer for Wakarusa a week or so ago. I'm in AR so its not THAT long of a drive... kinda thinking about going. The jam bands really aren't my thing, but they have a lot of other good acts booked, and hopefully some electronic stuff at night.

i went last year but didn't make it to the actual event (long story)

money is tight but SS is a big deal and i really want/need to go.

Gathering of the Vibes was on my list but i decided against it since i'm goign to SS. burning man is a possibility this year though, NV isn't that far of a drive for me.
 
damn... im only like 45min or so from bmore so its no big deal for me getting there. gathering of the vibes looks pretty chill.. bonnaroo was the one i was forgetting earlier, in tenn. that i will be going to, should be pretty sick

I hear nothing but negative things about schwagstock from those that have been. Have any of you ever gone?
 
Maybe I should look into it then. I'd like to hit up as much as possible this year. i just don't want to waste time/money on crappy events.
 
this is very good vibes, 10k people, pink floyd tribute greatful dead tribute...its really awesome, beautiful land with a natural spring you can come early stay late type deal, you could actually live on the land if you wanted to. owned by good people not all trying to make a huge buck on your ticket price and shit
 
yea, only like 55 dollars for tix. bonnarroo is like 200 and most everything else is somewhere in between.
 
^ sweety, im poo' as fuck. but i figure this will be the last year i am able to take all this time off from work, ect. im just going all out on the festivals this year, one last hurrah! until i depart for this 'real world' everyone speaks of.

Thats about my plan too. Though I'm a part of the "real world" already. But I want to take advantage of everything I can before I get too deep into it.
 
Yeah, I need to save money for SS, don't think I have the money/time with the other things I want to do (I blame my works payroll problems).
 
^ i do too, why couldnt they go ahead and keep me on over the winter?

Mine's more of, why does the place not be able to make payroll and be able to have more than 40 hours to distribute between ALL of the part timers (and there's like 20-25 of us).
 
SS is only like 50 bucks (are you referring to starscape or schwagstock, then its 55 but no biggie)

maybe another 50 or so for some drugs and your golden!

sucks, i hate working at places that cant keep their shit straight, i mean its a business, people work for you and expect (bare minimum) to be paid what you promised and on time. it isnt that hard, i ran the books for a few weeks when i was like 17.
