I have mixed feelings about this in general. I remember the first time I did patches was back in summer 2002. I got a 100ug gel patch from a friend and ate all the gel out of it without much of an opiate tolerance and literally fell in love with it 10 minutes later. Luckily I didn't know a lot about the gel at the time and I ended up swallowing a bunch of it instead of keeping it in my mouth for sublingual RoA, about 30 mins went by and I was a blitering idiot and was stumbling back to my lawn chair where I passed out for about 4 hours.
I woke up much later to find drool all over my shirt and my chest and head hurting really badly, through the whole thing tho I felt really high and loved it. After reading up more and understanding what I did I realized that I ODed. The only reason I think I am here today is because Im 6'6 290 pounds and have always had a pretty good tolerance of opiates (even before I began abusing).
What everyone is trying to tell you OP is that with a slight tolerance like you have described you have, a slice of that patch no bigger than your fingernail could mean the difference between life and death, please be careful, or even better, give the patch back.
