I hyper metabolise caffeine too, but I know I have hyperactive cell pumps & unusual liver enzyme levels.

There is a test that shows how you absorb medicines and the only one I hypermetabolize is the caffeine. But good grief that's crazy.

No, I mean you crush the pill, put it in water, and then you take out the water from the top once the binders and fillers have settled to the bottom and use that water nasally.

Oh dang. I have never tried that..
Is it more dangerous or the same as just taking them?

It depends on the bioavailability. With some drugs like hydromorphone it will make it substantially stronger and with other others like oxycodone it won’t. It would just be the same as taking the IR pill orally. But if you can’t swallow anything anyway, it’s worth a try. You can also try rectal administration. This works very well for many people although for whatever reason I find I need very high doses to get in effect.

No I don't have that. Slowly my body stops working and my lungs stop working and at the end it fills up with fluids and feels like a slow drowning. I don't know how I am gonna handle the end. But I want the pain for now to end so I can at least enjoy the time I have left

I wonder this too. Bc I hyper metabolize caffeine. But when I checked other drugs via the test that tells you. Nothing else..but I wonder.

What test did you take to find out about being hyper metabolizer? I've been trying to get my doctor to test me for years! 10-15 years ago it was easy to find someone who would test you but now no one will not for opiates

You're absolutely right that is the case everywhere I've heard

but not for palliative care patients... they have different criteria

There’s at least one, Stadol. But, I was actually recommending you use instant release pills that don’t have high oral bio availability. Also, have you tried ketamine? Doesn’t last very long, but I find it quite effective. It’s nice to have when I need a complete break from my pain. I feel like it resets my pain sensors kinda and it helps with opioid

look it up. morphine unless s specifically made to be absorbed nasally has a smaller bioavailability nasally vs in the stomach

I saw that for antidepressants but when I tried to get it done for opiates not one single doctor would order the test

If he can’t swallow it, it’s likely still better than nothing/fent patches.

I only got the one done for antidepressants. Didn't get the one for opiates

Ok so update .
And for the record. I don't want to get high but if I do I don't care bc I am dying
Fentanyl definitely doesn't give you a euphoria high. Been on it for weeks. Nope . Just the nods. And at first it didn't even do that. I wish I could get Dilaudid bc it actually makes you feel good. And parts of your body you can't feel and are floating. I may be biased bc I use it for pain and not for the high . But what's pain relief if it just makes you sleep. . But regardless of the reason. It just doesnt ever seem to get me "high". I just feel a tad bit less ouchy and way way more tired.
This medicine is just making me super tired all the time

It isn't that good of a pain relief either. It comes in small tiny waves that don't feel like much.

And the higher the dose. The more you want to sleep.

Update. The stuff works but it is weird how it comes and goes.. sometimes it works . Sometimes it doesn't. My doctor is upping my dosage to 50 mcg from 25 mcg.
