Favourite uncommon names?

ah yes, we have a kellen at work.

everyone is quite fond of calling him 'helen kellen".

i applaud less common names, but i dunno about "unusual" names.

i think it works against the child a lot of the time.

None of them are too popular but I think their pretty cool names

I had a cat named Mary Jane, I wouldn't feel comfortable re-using the name. Also I want something more "unusual" :D
 
We had a cat with the same name. We called her Janie or Screaming Mimi, Meems for short. I don't care for either name for a human ;)
 
i don't know about unusual names, but i like uncommon names. i'm a teacher, so a lot my my previously liked names are getting crossed off the list. i don't want to forever associate my future children with former students who drove me nuts!

I have tossed Jiminy around for some time... but I always go back to Hootely Charlatan Quincy for some reason. It just flows... y'know what I'm saying?
 
My favorite uncommon name is mine: Ash.

I'm an assistant manager at 7-11 so I wear a nametag. I get at least a couple or three compliments a week on my name:

Is that short for Ashley? Uncommonly cool name for a guy.

Arkady. I always thought that was cool. Short for Arcadia.
 
my favorite books are don quixote and where the red fern dies. often I have thought of combining those two for the perfect name for my unborn children...
