Megathread Favourite genre of film?

Generally sci-fi, horror and thriller, and various overlapping flavors (eg comedy) or combinations of all 3.
 
Definitely horror, fiction and based on true events type movies. Comedy/sci fi isn’t my jam.

So why oh why don t we have a thread devoted to comics- graphic novels etc???? I can even volunteer for helping with mod duties unless you are prevented against South Italians ( and honestly you should )
 
But anyway:
I like movies with people shooting at each other, for war related- gang related- drug related- western related reasons, as long as there are shooting I m in
I like biopics of musicians with serious drug issues ( I even watched and enjoyed the one about Motley Crue even if I hate that band with a passion)
I like movies and series and comics and everything related to Batman, Daredevil and the Punisher, I hope the new Daredevil serie is not gonna be BS. I also like the new Sandman thing.
I like stuff like " Never have I ever " and other girlie stuff but I pretend to watch them because of my wife

i'm finding i'd rather watch a music video on repeat than an actual movie if it's a good music video. i always had a hard time watching movies when i was a kid. i was more into video games. i remember i was an only child for a while and i'd go to my cousins that was a large family and all they wanted to do was watch movies when i was more interested in playing games cause i never had anyone around me.

i like corny movies that i don't really feel like are for me that other groups of people would like.. not something i can always deal with but i was watching My Girl the 90's movie recently... there's no way would i want to watch that unless i saw it as a kid, but i like to be nostolgic about stuff. ET is one of my favorite movies, but then i like the first Clerks a lot too and Happy Gilmore is a great film... So like anything pretty much. i don't really know if i like horror that much, Freddy Cougar is a cool concept though. i find stuff like that to be pretty nostolgic. Freddy V.S. jason was some funny ass shit, not really serious like the 80's stuff.

the original Beetlejuice is the greatest movie of all time... i like a lot of those 80's male actors like who ever played Beetlejuice, and people like bill murray, dan ackeroyd ect.. i was reading that Bill Murray in ground hogs day is cancelled cause he's a bad role model for kids. lol. they still play it on T.V. though. Bill Murrays reactions to stuff is funny as hell to me. dude's a good role model. lol
 
HORROR :devilish: nothing gory like saw, or chainsaw massacre... Love the Conjuring movies, annabelle, the ring, the grudge, dead silience, exorcist, insideous, sinister. I recently saw Smile 2 & liked it alot, the lead actress was amazing.
