eh? Formula 51 was the title in the US with Samuel L. Jackson

Acutally, you know what? I saw it in Japan, and it was called Chemical 51 in Japanese. They often do that...

1.Fear and Loathing
2.Trainspotting
3.New Jack City ( not really so much the movie, but Chris Rock is the perfect crackhead)

Spun offended me as both a movie lover AND a tweaker.

It was NOT "a terrifying glimpse into the life of a meth addict"

Nor was it "a breakthrough film"

Spun was one horrible cliche after another... lame caricatures of tweakers.

What's even worse is that people often compare it to Requiem for a Dream. That's tantamount to putting Strange Brew and Leaving Las Vegas into the same category... hey, they are both about drinking, right?

Not to mention Jonas Akerlund is a lame director. He should stick to music videos. His attention span doesn't seem to go much further.

What a waste of great talent like Mickey Rourke & Jason Schwartzman.

Cheech & Chong - up in smoke
fear and loathing
and human traffic

I got to go with my home movies, i don't really remember filmimg most of them but there like a cross between
Trainspotting, Human trafic and 1 night in Paris..........kinda

spun
gridlock'd
If you are ready to try to take a break requiem for a dream is great after a long tiresome binge.
groove is ok if your going to be going to a rave.

I know it's probably been posted 500 times in this thread but Fear & Loathing in Las Vegas has to be number one. I challenge anyone to name me another movie that describes and shows more drug use...

I love trainspotting, and it's definitly tied for first with Traffic, and also Requiem is awesome.

In my opinion, Fear and Loathing was EXTREMELY overrated.

I liked Traffic and Trainspotting and LOVED Blow and Requiem.

The Man with the Golden Arm. Frank Sinatra is a heroin addict. Thats enough of a reason to see it. I also love Requiem, Blow, Half-Baked, Trainspotting, Barfly (b/c its about Bukowski), Fear and Loathing, Spun, and The Basketball Diaries. Its seems that drugs lead to good movies . . .

^ Rules of Attraction is good one too, reminds me of college so much. Sniff, Sniff, the good ol days.

I thought the book was much more entertaining. I loved the movie, but there's something about reading Hunter S. Thompson that's just wow.

I actually thought Spun was pretty good.

And I agree that the fear and Loathing movie is overrated - its not bad, but I enjoyed the book more.
