^^There are quite a few people who thoroughly enjoy tramadol, although I find it interesting you rank it above oxycodone. Might I ask how the tramadol experience compares to oxycodone for you?
Absolutely,,,I will describe the effects of both on me (being very subjective).
Oxycodone, takes me by surprise. Stimulating at first, but tiring a bit later (can't move much, feel drugged). ALWAYS does the job. Without a doubt, a very strong narcotic. Very euphoric, but the euphoric component is very short lasting in comparison to the nod. My whole body feels relaxed, and I can nod into/out of dream state (actually feels very much like opium here). But cold and harsh (almost exactly the opposite of good dope in this respect). In other words, not warm and itchy and (in some ways), subtle, like good heroin. Oxycodone is digital, not warm and analog.
Tramadol is not very potent, and can have lousy side effects if you take too much a loading dose. Since the (initial) side effects only last 30-40 min, but the good effects last upwards of 10 hours, the key to dosing is to keep nibbling small doses, starting at let's say, 8 PM. Once the effects really start coming on (metabolized), 1st of all, huge, GREAT euphoria. Big shit eating smile on my face - can't wipe the grin off my face. And I literally try with my hands to wipe it off. Whole head tingly/floating (almost like a few lines of good coke, in the beginning). Then my legs get involved, and just touching them or rubbing against a sheet almost feels orgasmic. The body part really reminds me of good dope combined with a low dose of E. Peeps say tram doesn't slow respiration or cause itching. That's total hog wash. I have been in deep nods where my breathing is slow and primordial as I'm floating through the cosmos. The itch can be so nice as well. I have scratched off scabs and caused cuts many a time on tram just 'cuz it felt OOOH so good - scratchgasm! Then I also wake up from my twilight nod at like 4:30 AM, and need to eat my sweets. It is these qualities which makes me feel tram is more analog, and actually like heroin. But also with a feeling of coke, X, and ketamine (at higher doses, indeed). Plus, tramadol is legal (not controlled), and DIRT cheap. Most definitely analog, except for the ketamine like effects at very high doses (that is the only "digital" part). Does that answer why I like it so much? Its really the balance of all things. If an 80 of Oxy went for a few bucks on the street, then oxy would come closer to tying with tramadol. But I would still like the overall effects of tramadol more than oxy, regardless of price. Oh, and one more thing. Tram is not overcome by buph, and I’m talking the opioid component (not the SSRI). That’s right, since M1 hits a whole diff area of ligands (dorsal horn), buph won’t antagonize the weak binding effects of tramadol in those unique areas, one bit. I think this is also why it is so euphoric, and why heroin can be so euphoric. Quick entry into the brain allows for some spillover to the same areas as tramadol metabolite. That is partially why heroin feels like a totally different drug than morphine.
