Arright, well then, lets all reminisnce about whatever tracks, beats, mixes, tunes, songs, albums, shows made the year for you...

Probably the ELECTRONIC albums I've enjoyed the most were (in no order)-

ShadowFX-Direct Influence,
Highpersonic Whomen- Push The Limit,
Kindzadza-Waves from Inner Space,
Infected Mushroom-Vicious Delicious,
Younger Broter-The Last Days of Gravity,
Vibrasphere- Exploring the Tributraires,
Shotu- Jungle Expedition
V/a Faerie Dragon- No Tone Unstirred
Penta- Portugese Abduction
Protonica-Search
Pitch Black- Rude Mechanicals

Non-electronic Stuff:

Salmonella Dub- Heal Me
Nightwish- Dark Passion Play
Levon Helm- ???

Best shows:

Well, I didn't see heaps this year, but overall I enjoyed Evanescence in Melbourne the most and Salmonella Dub and then Pitch Black, followed by Infected Mushroom, and then a latter set by Tim Sensient at Fed Up Sundays. Eartchdance was also a fun time.

Anyway, I'm sure theres more but thats all I can think of for now.....

This years winner for me:

Kindzadza - Waves from Inner Space

The mastering is absolutely stunning. The melodies which come from unimaginable places, alien and new, but engaging. I love the direction he has headed in and hope his future records preserve this crystalline stunning detail to sound quality and experimentation.

...

Runners Up:

D'Nox and Beckers - Left Behind
Vibrasphere - Exploring the Tributaries
Mr. Peculiar - Infinite Evolution
Omnimotion - Dream Wide Awake
Gaudi and Nusrat Fatweh Ali Khan - Dub Qawwali
Scorb - Ipso Fvcto
Burial - Untrue
The Field - From Here We Go to Sublime
Shulman - Endless Rhythms of the Beatless Heart
Gosub - Watchers from the Black Universe
Bong Ra vs. Enduser - The Kill
Nebulo - Kolia
Enduser - Pushing Back
The Nam Shub of Enki - Destroy Everything

a lot of these are quite old but since i'm fairly new to psytrance, these are my faves from this year:

younger brother - a flock of bleeps
vibrasphere - exploring the tributaries
OTT - blumenkraft
bluetech - sines & singularities

IM?

Are you going senile in your old age willow? =D

Good chance of it, today I do turn 25 and all :) I think Infected are fucking awesome, if you just ignore the crap and hype that surrounds them. They are extremely talented musicians and do a mad live show. I try as hard as I can to be non-jaded; IM is the only 'commercial psy' group I really can with anymore. The 1200 mics album released tis year was possibly the end of fullon I think, absolutely shit shit shit fucking shit.

Hell yes, the most clear, pristine production I have heard for a long time. Everything fits in their absolutely briliantly. NYE FTW %)
The Nam Shub of Enki - Destroy Everything

I knew I forgot something.....I like cunt cunt fuck bitch fuck off cunt etc.

Mr. Peculiar - Infinite Evolution

I also forgeot this gem- a breat start to an otherwise disappointing year for psytrance. IMO.

3) Pantha Du Prince - This Bliss
4) Kalabrese - Rumpelzirkus

this sounds very good. What genre of music is this? I will hunt online to find audio clips.

What have I been feeling this year, well, a lot of old music still, but of the new stuff...

Fanu - Daylightless

Top album from mr Fanu, real gritty ambient tones and drum grooves. Other albums worth a mention

Burial - Untrue
Tracey Thorn - Out Of The Woods
Kryptic Minds & Leon Switch - Lost All Faith

all in all not a great deal of good stuff went on this year within my realms of electronic music. Photek managed to squeeze out a record at last, and it was as half baked as ud expect it to be from one of electronic musics finest producers gone sour. Goldie threw out an album of dancefloor loops while hes still holding his Sinus Temper album under wraps for a second year running.

Tracks:

Cold Turkey - Drumsound & Bassline Smith
Dumpling Riddim - Chase & Status
If We Ever - High Contrast
Download - DJ Clipz
Acid Test - Subfocus

Mixes:

One Nation: Bornemouth Opera House
Tranzmission 07
Westfest 07
MC Convention: 20 Years of Rave
The Worlds Heaviest Drum & Bass

Artists:

DJ Clipz
High Contrast
Subfocus

dat sean kingston bullshit that i heard every fuckin day this summer

The Upbeats: Nobodys Out There

Commix Call to Mind

<3 these

if you dig on YB you'll definitely love Shpongle. If you have the means I suggest trying to find the Camp Bisco V set that he did, it really is amazing. Bluetech's Sines & Singularities was alright. I have some better ambient for you if you're interested.

oh and Lemon Slide's album True Nature is fucking fun as hell and brilliant.

Yea, Lemonslide are awesome; I haven;t heard much of the new album (just a fews ongs at a friends) but it sound great. If you go to antiscarp.com they have a few free eps. Or maybe it Mikiskeri.net. I dunno. 8)

Prometheus- Corridor of Mirrors I should have mentioned. It took a good ten or so listens and a month long nonlisten before I replayed it and discovered that it rocked.

And in reggae Richie Spice- The Streets To Africa was a brilliant realease, lovely analog sounding production and sweet sweet music, plus Richies superb voice.

I knew you'd come round to that one in the end. :D Benji Vaughan is right up there with Posford in my opinion & I don't think he gets enough credit regarding Younger Brother. My favourite psytrance producer, & he can also play a mean set too.

Corridor Of Mirrors was a definite highlight, but overall my pick would be Exploring The Tributaries by Vibrasphere. An absolutely stunning album.
