I've seen numerous reports/posts in regards to how eating fatty foods will increase the bioavailability of oral morphine (i.e Morphine Sulfate ER). I'm a bit confused about when to actually eat the fatty foods although, as I've seen a lot of conflicting information. Some people say to eat fatty foods before taking morphine, while others say it's stupid to do that and that fatty foods should be eaten a bit after taking morphine. Some people say to take some morphine in the middle of a fatty food meal... Which is it!?
Basically, I'd like to know once and for all what the deal is with fatty foods and oral morphine. Should I eat fatty foods first, wait a certain amount of time and then take morphine, or should I take some morphine and wait awhile and then eat fatty foods or what? The amount of conflicting info I have seen on this topic is absurd. Anyone know from actual experience what the deal is? Thanks!
