Opioids Fatty foods to increase bioavailability of oral morphine? - Conflicting reports!?

I've seen numerous reports/posts in regards to how eating fatty foods will increase the bioavailability of oral morphine (i.e Morphine Sulfate ER). I'm a bit confused about when to actually eat the fatty foods although, as I've seen a lot of conflicting information. Some people say to eat fatty foods before taking morphine, while others say it's stupid to do that and that fatty foods should be eaten a bit after taking morphine. Some people say to take some morphine in the middle of a fatty food meal... Which is it!?

Basically, I'd like to know once and for all what the deal is with fatty foods and oral morphine. Should I eat fatty foods first, wait a certain amount of time and then take morphine, or should I take some morphine and wait awhile and then eat fatty foods or what? The amount of conflicting info I have seen on this topic is absurd. Anyone know from actual experience what the deal is? Thanks!

Il let you know.

Ive taken Oral Morphine solution tonight in 2 seperate doses of 50mgs (100mg total approximately) didnt feel much but then got really hungry and got the muchies in, ate them about 45 minutes ago and am now about to re-dose some more Morphine.

It seems to really vary from person to person and I'm not sure whether there's any known science behind it. Best to just experiment and see what works for you personally. Everyone's body and metabolism are different and there are lots of other factors which can affect things. There are certain foods and substances that can increase/decrease the metabolism of certain drugs. I can see if I can find a list for morphine if you like, I did print out a very reliable one (from a medical text) a while back but it doesn't seem to be in my browser Bookmarks. But personally I've found that most potentiators really don't do anything noticeable, most of them only increase the effects by like 1%, which isn't any perceptible difference.

You might be able to find some info here:

Rectal morphine is really the way to do it. Oral is such a complete waste. Please take my word on it.

If youre not keen on that... You could do a few things. Empty smomach . then a small grainy meal an hour later. The fats and proteins will not help! Morphine is water soluble and enjoys the cool temps hahah.

The bottom line is that its a bad idea. Oil and water don't mix.

Heres a viable drink :|

Morphine or opium , Soy milk, , Black pepper, liquorish. It will enhance the properties for the other ones. Calming legal herbs can likely be substutited.

Well, I myself always eat after taking my medicine.

First Ill take my med and then I'll wait till the first effects. When it kicks in, it usually gives me some munchies too. Then I'll eat, and I like to eat (somewhat) fatty meals.
