FAT BLUELIGHTERS UNITE

Tis all well and good saying beauty comes from within...
But actually finding people that practice it is another story.
(In no way am I saying that people here don't practice it, I just dunno :-/)

Ah but Jabba, I still party rather hard. Granted I take a lot of beer and pre-mix cans and spliffs and end up having what the Herald Sun calls 'a lethal cocktail' but one needs to party on regardless of size and reality altering choice. :) I'm a little cuddly now (85 or so kg) but used to be a real biggy (116kg). Drugs got me down to 75kg so I've been everywhere man. But one thing holds true....
**ONCE YOU'VE HAD FAT, YOU NEVER GO BACK**
now give us a hug/

*QUEENSMAK* THAT has GOT to be the BIGGEST load of "Bruny Island" shit SHIT ive EVER heard you say.
BEAUTY DOES NOT COME FROM WITHIN!!!
-"thats JUST s'thing FAT ppl say..."
Muhaa muhaaa...
Personally i dont mind a bit of 'Peaking Flab'..
I know lots of Sydney B'L's that have MORE ROLLS than COUNTRYBAKE...
and they are cuddly as.. God put fat ppl here with usso we could have 'Pill Toys'..
Luvya all...

not being the socially sanctioned image of what is called 'beautiful' either, hear hear on the beauty/within thing! what makes a person beautiful is a loving and kind personality, and what makes a sexy person is confidence! so be proud of who you are! dont stress too much about the shell that you're inhabiting for this lifetime! it'll just give it an eating disorder or an ulcer. you're here for a good time, not a long time. so love yourself, and others will follow. oh god, was i just channelling john gray? FATHER MERRIN! FATHER KARRAS! I NEED YOU!

Hmmm...
Although I wouldn't exactly class myself as a "Fat Bluelighter" I am hardly the thinnest, nor the most beautiful of the nerds who frequent this board. However, I'd like to think that my personality outsizes my body even, therefore making me a PHAT character and one who has better brains than looks. And I'm proud of that.
BTW, wheres your name Tarsy, you fatass mofo?

hhmmm...i can relate with *sunflower*. even though im not over weight IMHO at 5'2 and a size 12, when i go out i see so many teeny tiny, impossibly pretty girls i just don't know how i can measure up :( . even worse is when i give one of these girls a hug i feel like im gonna break them.
it seems to me that anything over a size six is overweight in this day and age but some people are never meant to be a certain body shape, no matter how much weight they lose.
i appreciate the sentiment that beauty comes from with in but the problem i see is that people who generally say this are usually very attractive people who don't know what its like to be continually passed over beacause of the way you look.
sorry guys, im in a bad mood at the moment... :(
oh well

Heya moonlight_blue, love your nic :)
'Tis a thin world we live in but I think that people are generally their own harshest critics.
IMO lots of different types of people are gorgeous; thin, curvy, tall, short, bigger, smaller, dark/fair skin, blue/brown/green eyes, redheads, blondes, dark hair, grey hair, old, young, asian, caucasian, black, ethnic, short hair, long hair - the list is endless.
Personally I've gone out with heaps of different kinds of guys, I don't have a particular 'type' at all. Also, no-one is perfect, remember that.
We're all young and healthy right now; one day when we look back on our youth we're going to wish we look like we do now :D , so be happy with yourself because its all relative!

Signing up!

Okay boys and girls I know that most of this is all in good fun, and frankly i've had a good laugh but after talking to some ppl I've realised that certain comments have taken effect even though they have been meant in jest.
Meth is not the way to try to loose weight, if any of you are really wanting to make an effort to loose weight there are heaps of better, healthier ways to do it. Forget diets as well eating healthy and exercising is the only way.
But really who gives a flying f**k what others think? I know I'm not tiny - I have been tho, for that matter i've been a hell of a lot bigger than I am now... All that matters is that I'm happy with the way i am, but not everybody has this attitude.
Please remember guys, while you're joking and the vast majority recognise it as joking, people can take those comments seriously, especially if they are depressed already.
*takes off serious cap*
*hugs everyone*

hhhhhmmmm...off on another point to me it seems that while people may find a number of things physically attractive in a person very few people are willing to voice this view if what they deem as attractive is outside what society wants us to belive.
in other words, people seem scared almost to be seen to be interested in anything outside the "norm" of beauty, what ever that may be.
and i know the meth commment was made in jest as where a lot of the other comments but it seems that people really beleive that thinness is something we all must strive for and if we don't there is something inherantly wrong
