fantasy football 2012/2013 v. my kicker got me 25 points!

pick up daryl richardson on st.louis if you are in need of an rb, he is going to be their main guy this year, looks like steven jackson of 2006

don't think isiah pead is going to be the replacement the rams were hoping for
 
Picked up Brent Celek in a trade for Michael Bush. The thing is we can only start 2 RB and I have Trent Richardson and Ray Rice and I really need a good TE. Celek is getting tons of targets and is one of the receiving leaders early in the year. I fully expect Michael Bush to explode this week and make me look stupid, but Celek is going to be a big upgrade over the failure that is Fred Davis.

Overall I think it will work out well, although now im kind of pissed that I didn't pick up Bennett when I could have, he just got another TD and seems to be Mannings Favorite new redzone target.
 
^ i started bush this weekend over mccfadden, cause if bears score a TD chances are it'll be bush

just picked up kellen winslow cause hood man has powers to turn trash into champagne and winslow is just my back up for when pettigrew has a bye or gets injured

if it doesn't work out you always need a player to dump

stevie johnson(bad groin) has two tds thus far and is playing vs cleveland, perhaps due for a non-td game or darren mccfadden vs pittsburgh

who should i start?
 
I would stick with McFadden. Im sticking with Fitzgerald in a similar situation. If the fucks me again this week hes on the bench, but if I bench him he is gonna blow up for a huge week.
 
yeah i just read that palamalou and harrison are out for the steelers and mccfadden not having a touchdown after three weeks seems highly unlikely

i could play stevie johnson over eric decker or antonio brown, but again i'm confident both of those guys find the endzone for the first time of the year
 
my league was asleep. i'm last in waiver priority and i got andre brown. sweet...

too bad i left nate washington on my bench for 'one more week'. oh well. i won my game by over 50 points. having my defense (chicago) score 23 points helped :)

I was #2 in points scored for week 3 in my money league. I just happened to be playing the #1 team this week,who also happens to be a good friend of mine. I will never hear the end of it.

I also picked up Andre Brown to back up Richardson and Rice at RB. Lots of people are thin at RB in my league so he might be some nice trade bait aswell.

Brent Celek failed me and Fred Davis actually had a decent week once I put him on my bench, life is hard.
 
i'm the only team 3-0 in my league and full potential still has not been reached....mainly stafford not doin' very well and decker not being able to find the end zone yet

awww yeah

i need some high of the weeks though i don't want to have to pay more than 30 dollars for entry
 
Squeaked out a Monday nighter in the BL league to move to 3-0 so im 5-1 overall this year in fantasy. Both teams looking healthy and productive, hopefully i can avoid an injury meltdown in my money league this year.
 
i remeber the days when i would have like 4 teams a season back when i was like 14-16 years old

for the last 5 yeas i have a 'strict one league only' policy

i like it so much better this way and i don't think i've ever made a trade in this league,i just don't trust my self with trades and have a huge fear of completing a trade and having the new guys suck while your ex-players get red hot or i'll trade a good player for another good player who tears his acl that week

i guess you can say i always have faith in my rosters and ability to sign free agents, yet also live in fear

my first ever fantasy football team was back in '99 i missed my first pick and was given marshall faulk, i was like wtf i thought that guy retired, i drafted mostly guys who didn't even start, yet won the league cause i ended up picking up so many good players that year(germaine crowell and marcus robinson come to mind)

that's right i said it, germaine crowell....dude had a few awesome years with detriot
 
Im 4-1 in my money league now. I have 2 of the top 3 scoring running backs at this point in Richardson and rice. I also have 5 top 20 receivers in v jax, t smith, fitzgerald, wallace and steve smith (this is after a horrendous week for all of my receivers, this group was even stronger last week). Top scoring def (by far) in the bears. Kind of lacking in QB and TE production between fred davis/ brent celek and Phillip rivers, but its got the job done so far. I am currently in first place.

I almost traded v jax and fitz for RG3 this week. I am so glad i didnt pull the trigger. I just didnt trust a running rookie QB to keep up his production and it looks like i will be more right than I thought. I like where im at in this league. WR's are the most scarce position and im stacked there with solid and durable starters at RB. QB and TE I feel can be subbed in and out based on matchups in 10 man leagues because there are a lot of options on the waiver wire. Obviously I would like elite options at those positions but I feel like having elite WR's and RB's is superior. It feels like ive made all the right decisions so far this year.

Oh and im also undefeated and ahead in points by a large margin in the BL league.

Its been a good year so far for my real team and my fantasy teams.

^ i also have the bears d and they killed it this week for me - they scored more points than any other position on my team :)

also, the guy i was playing had ahmad bradshaw. sitting on his bench...

eli manning and hakeem nicks are two big-ticket players on my team but they have to face the impressive sf d this week - 2nd best in football against the pass.

so i picked up ponder who seems to be really settling in and has a sweet matchup against the redskins 2nd worse defense in football against the pass. i think i'll start ponder and sit manning.

thoughts?

also, i need somebody to replace nicks. my wr corp is terrible. right now i am starting:

- brandon lloyd who has to have a game sometime but probably not this week against sea d.

- brandon gibson who i hope will pick up the slack now amendola's done

- davone bess

i have nate washington on my bench but he's underperformed the last couple of weeks and the steelers' pass d is great.

given most of the obvious names are not available in my league, any sleeper suggestions? my mantra this year has been "stick with your guys" but i'm struggling at wr.

I would play eli over ponder. SF has a good pass defense, but their run defense is even better. They will almost assuredly not give up any rushing TD's or many rushing yards, so any damage the giants do is gonna be through the air. Eli will probably air it out close to 50 times if this game goes how i think it will and cruz had carlos rogers number in the NFCCG last year so there is big play potential. The 49ers had the exact same defense last year and eli put up respectable numbers against them.

I dont know who is available WR wise in your league so i cant help you there. ONly advice i can give you is to target weak secondaries ( jets, bills, saints ect)

Holy shit im raping people in FF this year. 8-1 in my money league ( scored over 110 points in my only loss). Next closest team is 6-3, and his schedule has been such a cakewalk its not even funny.

bl league im 7-2 and most likely playoff bound.

T Richardson and V Jackson have been pleasant surprises, as has Andrew Luck recently.

All around I should be the favorite to win it all this year, and im fucking due after consistently being dissapointed in the playoffs after dominating the regular season my first few years.

Either im really good at this game or the people in my league suck, either way I can taste that $400 already.

i play fantasy football and have every year for the past 14 years

but i gotta say, i fucking hate fantasy football couture and all those stupid fantasy shows on tv and people telling me about their fantasy teams how they have so and so in this league but if this defense in their other league, etc

newsflash, people don't care about your fantasy teams

this thread does not bother me though, cause it's bl
 
Am going to be fighting for my life tomorrow to make the playoffs (like a slack basterd I joined a late league that didn't start till wk 2 of the season), have to win my matchup vs the best team in the league and hope another guy loses. Need Jamaal Charles, Megatron, and Eli to go off and for that miracle kid Brown with the Eagles to keep doing his thing.
