I suggested knock a number of times before too. he's another one who's a great mod without actually already being appointed as one. watsons still fits this category too, even tho he used to be one. he still kind of acts modly (in the best sense of the word), and he's one of the funniest people on the forum too

I'd say SHM would also make a great mod too, altho I can see how that might ruffle a few feathers =D

I'm not a mod candidate. been a mod before, was alright, but like knock, I prefer to heckle or cheerlead from the sidelines. I can't piss n moan about stuff if I'm a mod. collective responsibility n all that ain't me.

I'm bad enough replying to PM's from people I like and wanna talk to, let alone the barage of likely shite from people reporting posts for bullshite reasons.

MSB, and Spade, you put your apps in yet? =D

Well for what it's worth I've been doing the whole internet forum thing for years too, and had a stab at every role from regular to running my own (failed a bit), and all I can say about bluelight is that it is really unique. Not your typical forum dynamic. Being a mod on bluelight feels fresh and it's real fucking fun. On bluelight you want to wade through the mass of reported posts purely for the lulz.
 
I would apply but I can't commit, I'm liable to going AWOL. I can't take the pressure! :! Even thinking about it's too much :D
 
Being liable to go AWOL is the mark of a true bluelighter. The old story goes that the son of bluelight shall arrive bearing the mark of AWOL. Before rising from flames and becoming the saviour of bluelight and the rest of the world etc.
 
Then in a matter of weeks becoming impossibly jaded and deciding to jack it in for the good of their mental health? ;)

Is there an option not to have access to the infamous nudie thread, it could be the straw that broke the camels back....DF won't have be back I'm running pout of options ;)
 
There's no escaping the staff nudie thread I'm afraid. It's always lurking there at the edge of your field of vision, taunting you with the promise of pictures of American internet folk in ill-advised compromising poses.

On the plus side you can spend hours laughing at the reported posts, as Albion said.
 
Now I know you must work in sales Sam, you've made it such a compelling proposition I'm sure the applications are going to be flooding in;)
 
Basically modding bluelight is great fun in all the ways it shouldn't be ;)

lolol great idea. I don't see what attracts people to the job, even when they aren't totally unsuited to it. Although I guess I shouldn't let that put me off. Sam has set the bar so low it would be impossible not to be a better mod. From observing his behaviour you can definitely cross 'friendly' and 'diplomatic' off as a requirement to be a mod on here.
