Tis the compelling combination of setting yourself an ambition and having it fulfilled. It's something you either find inherently pulls you in or does nothing for you at all. I think.

So you want it then you get it? What is the inherent motivation to do it? It seems like unpaid and labourious work to me!

The prospect of getting promoted is the inherent motivation!! Everyone enjoys a good promotion, right? That and having an interest in the well being of bluelight & its community. I don't think there's anyone here who doesn't share this interest though. We're all in here together and constantly come back to feed off the same communal enjoyment. The desire to apply for staff positions seems to rely more on how much an individual stands to personally gain if they get the position. That desire to protect and build upon the bluelight project and maintain its whole community really takes over once the novelty of becoming super serious responsible powerful important looking forum moderator etc wears off. I applied for OD cos I wanted to be a mod. I applied to EADD cos I love EADD and wanted to put work into its upkeep and help keep the peace n whatnot.

I signed up because I wanted to give something back to a website that has been absolutely fucking golden and likely saved my life countless times.
I believe very strongly on people being informed when it comes to their choice to ingest substances and about how to practice such a desire as safely as possible....

Yes, it is hard work. Emotionally it can be very hard at times, but knowing that you've helped people out in times of need, given someone information that could have possibly stopped them from making massive mistakes - maybe even saving their life - and building a wicked rapport with lovely members leaves you feeling like you've done some good and made new lovely acquaintances in the process :)

As I said last time there was a vacancy, we need to have some sort of X-Factor style voting system.

I know. I've complained about him several times already, but nothing seems to change or get dealt with.
