Also, Damien, from listening to some of my friends talking about Facebook, they were telling me how that exact thing happens there too, re: the random attractive girls requesting to be your friend (trolls, I guess?) Facebook? more like, Fakebook.

That's strange. I think I've only had one or two requests like that.

It's not nearly as common as it was on facebook. It's almost always either a fake account that posts links to the porn site it was created to advertise or a fake account to mine personal marketable information from "Friends only" accounts.

Just wait until the new HTML comes online kids.

Fun fact: If Facebook were a country, its population would make it the third largest in the world.

As far as drama goes via Facebook or elsewhere on the net: Only seven year old mildly autistic boys enjoy it more than torturing their pets.

the reasons you indicated for not using it, are still as a reaction to it. therefore it is still controlling (using) you. take charge

That's like saying that my reaction to alcohol is why I no longer use alcohol and therefore it is controlling me. Yes, it's true, that things like alcohol/facebook are not things I can keep under control *keep them in a way that they don't cause negativity to my life* and that is why I rid my life of them. "Taking charge" is deleting what I don't need. Not sure what point you were trying to make there but for me facebook is almost as similar an addiction/problem as a drug or alcohol. There is nothing I can do but go cold turkey, anything else doesn't work.

i use it, but i keep it minimal. there are no pictures of me on there, no personal personal information, i have my privacy settings set so high that no one could search "Kenickie Sadovsky" and find me, or search my email and find me.
it freaks me out how lax people are with intimate details.

plus i have so many bluelighters on there, i don't want them to know too much about me, haha. my name is as far as i go.

I pretty much always associate the image of you with K-stew, from you avatars, even though I KNOW it's not you, lol. :D

Right on about the personal detail stuff... it's always weird when I see people with their address and phone number on their profile. I guess some people want to be found. Not me.

Also, I didn't know you were allowed to use a fake name on there. I remember reading something in the rules about how accounts that were discovered to not be a legit name would be removed, but I guess they can't possibly enforce that with so many people.

that's who all my profile pictures are hahaha. and yes, you are allowed to use a fake name on there. but i use my real name (well, kinda!), "Kenickie Sadovsky" is just what i tell people on da webernetz what my name is. For the first two years of my facebook life though, it was Kenickie Sadovsky.

i think you got my point, actually. it's cool, if it is that much trouble for you, cold turkey away. :) <3 I think i have as much difficulty understanding facebook as a problem, as (literally) everyone else has difficulty understanding the dramas i go through for my shoe addiction!

The friend requests on Myspace were almost as annoying as the endless pages filled with songs, unreadable glittery fonts, gifs, and videos that took five minutes to load.

Wow I actually think thats really cool that police were able to use FB to capture that guy rippng ppl off. Sorry to the dude whose house got raided, but your friend sounds really shady!

Personally I love FB. Ever since I moved thousands of miles away from my friends and family I've found it really usefull for staying up-to-date with their lives and also keeping them up with mine. Just recently my family had a reunion that I wasn't able to attend, but through FB I felt like i was there with them because they were constantly posting pictures and we were all able to comment on them. It was really nice!!

Plus there have been a few ppl that i whose friend request Ive accepted even though I didn't know them very well and ended up getting really close! One example is a girl I used to go to college together, I dont think we even had any classes together just kind of barely knew each other. But through FB she became my go-to-Mom throughout both my pregnancies and when i was having problems breast-feeding.

Its also really fun to see random friends of mine that I wouldn't normally talk to, post on FB that they are vacationing on Maui. I've yet to hang out with any of them during their visit here, but its still cool just to know that an old friend of mine is on the island.

I like facebook...a lot. I am check it twice a day. Sometimes more on weekends.
I joined at my mom's insistence and she now is hardly on the site. My family lives 20 hours (drive) away.
I use it as a funny social platform.

Facebook has allowed me to get to know BL members better. I have have been more apt to meet people if we have become friends on FB.

I enjoy interacting with the friends I choose to on a daily basis and hiding the bullshit that other friends post when I really don't want to block them completely.

I like being able to see the relatives, friends, and their children in photos as I would not care to see them in real life.

It is another way to spend idle time as a pothead.

I think I am on FB more than BL these days.

I have not had any facebook "drama"...that is not my style.
One girl from work blocked me but she is a christian cunt so I don't care hahaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
