hi bluelight, long time lurker but first post
recently my doctor gave me a tramadol script but tramadol makes me feel ill and can be kinda dangerous
can somebody tell me how to extract the codeine from the tramadol? do I just perform a cold water extraction or do I need to do something more complicated?

Wtf dude :D

There are no codeine in your tramadol pills. The active compound is tramadol hydrochloride. This topic is misplaced also...

no ur wrong, tramadol and codeine are both opiods so i can get the codeine from the trammies

can someone who isnt an asshole tell me how to perform the extraction? i want to trip off these

Not possible. Go back to the doctor and say you have allergies to tramadol, paracetamol, aspirin and anything else they mix with codeine and ask for pure codeine. If he argues tell him you had an allergic reaction to the tramadol, that usually worries the doctor that you will sue them and they will prescribe you what you push them towards. Problem solved.

Tramadol is a semisynthetic opiod.. It MIGHT be possible to convert it to codeine in some way.. Maybe.
But not with an CW or any other extraction.

You have misunderstood something [L][D]. I'm sorry if I seem like an asshole, but you said you were a long time lurker - still neither codeine nor tramadol are psychedelics and you can't extract codeine from tramadol.

There is no Codeine in Tramadol.

Tramadol is an opioid drug, as is Codeine - but they are both different drugs.

You're not going to trip off Codeine/Tramadol either, at least not in the traditional sense, though the "nodding" dream state can be a trip of its own in some ways, they aren't what you'd refer to as a hallucinogen normally.

Codeine and Tramadol are not hallucinogens and therefore do not belong in the Psychedelic Drugs forum. They fall under Other Drugs, which also covers all other opioids.

If you get your hands on some over the counter medicine which contains Codeine and NOT Tramadol (they are two different things as I said, one does not contain the other) then you can perform a cold water extraction. Here's a simple guide on how to do so: http://www.bluelight.ru/vb/threads/272847-COLD-WATER-EXTRACTION-made-simple(r)

If you're a little confused, and you weren't aware that they were different drugs, it's not to worry, in most countries Codeine is available over the counter without a prescription, so even if you only have Tramadol now, but want to get your hands on Codeine, you probably can fairly easily.

If you wish to discuss opioids more, depending on the depth of your question you should either go to Basic Drug Discussion or Other Drugs.

Hope this helps.
