Experimental/Chillout/Ambient/Downtempo/Trip hop MEGATHREAD

Kaya Project might be my favorite. Followed by Bombay Dub Orchestra. Highly recommend those 2

Get this and I promise you will not regret it. It's amazingly good ambient/dub techno. My favorite CD to listen to when on opiates.

Yagya - Rhythm Of Snow

Also anything made by Biosphere or Sun Electric...

Edit: Lifeforms by Future Sound of London. That's another really good one.

Ironic you mention FSOL. I saw them recommended on this really obscure music blog that I sometimes check out

I will download some Yagya now :)

So I checked out FSOL last night on a hefty dose of 2c-i. It was interesting. I dont know if I would consider them ambient but it was enjoyable. Kinda of had a little for everyone, some dubstep, some psytrance, and a little ambient

Would definitely listen to them again

FSOL kicks butt. I'd love to see FSOL live on 2C-x or some good LSD! 8o

I find it a mix of a buncha stuff from experimental ambient of their earlier years to more dubby and trancey stuff of laters on. They got something from everything. I like this oldie goldie from FSOL:

Through this thread's recommend, I checked out Vibrasphere. I am pleasantly surprised :)
So far with Vibrasphere I can recommend their album Lungs of Life as well as Archipelago Remixed.

Gonna try other recommends here as well. Most of this stuff is perfect for work: I just put on my iPod and get to work. The lack of spoken words allow me to concentrate without getting pulled into the language.

Btw, I highly recommend Shpongle as a poster said above.

Coming soon: Bluetech - Love Songs To The Source

Pretty excited about it after listening to the samples. I was a bit disappointed with The Divine Invasion, although it was still quite well done, but this seems promising. I really dig music that tastefully balances electronics and acoustic instruments / vocals, which seems to be the direction that Bluetech is headed! :)

Sounds awesome. I have always loved Bluetech, but always craved something a little more melodic. This sounds like it will fill in that void.

Edit: Dunno about the vocals, may take a bit to like them too.
