I already posted once on this topic, and I'll post again. WONDERFUL NEWS! I never had the chance to really talk to PhreeX at all, I just joined the board not too long ago. But from all the posts of his I've read, he seemed like one of the worst guys for this to happen to. As for all of you that are badmouthing him, that's your opinion of him, keep it to yourself. This is a post that's supposed to be supporting him and his family through this rough time. Hopefully he didn't suffer too much braindamage, and that he fully recovers. I know that there are many other people out there that miss his witty posts. He's still in my prayers, that he'll recover enough to come back.

My thoughts and prayers go out to Dave. I don't know him, just of him, but I wish him the best all the same. I hope he makes a full recovery. And, I hope that his family is comforted by all the people that are keeping Dave in their thoughts. He seems to have positively affected quite a lot of people.
 
just to repeat what was posted earlier:
GOOD NEWS! My brother is waking up! I saw him tonight at the hospital....he looks at you with his eyes..and has really good reflexes...(blinks, coughs..even crys) he hasn't spoken yet..he still cant breathe on his own....but he's awake! The pessimisstic ASSHOLE doctors tell us not to get our hopes up b/c this could be the extent of his recovery...but damnit were all praying for the best! THank you all for your support and love..it means the world...those who wrote me in response to my letter, (Julia, Justin, Mike ) your letters help a lot. I know that Dave was still Dave under it all....and I know he means well. I appreciate all those who truly tried to help him...I know how hard he is and I don't blame anyone.

I hope phreex gets better, I learned alot of shit from him. If not, well life is overrated anyway. Good luck.

i was shocked when i heard the news...
i just hope for a speedy and full recovery.
but let this be a lesson to all of us...
i really don't like it when members of the bluelight family die or come very close to death.
it is great though how everyone pulls together at times like these.
bluelight really is something special and different. :)

just last year I was in a very serious auto accident with severe brain/body injuries.. and I will say undoubtedly the doctors are always on the pessimistic side with their estimates... going by what they were saying the month after the accident you'd think I might end up a crippled guy with severe brain damage and instead I've ended up a year later running right back @ 100%... I know with the right determination, a person can recover from unbelievable injuries.. I just pray that god gives Dave a chance to do so..
 
BluDustButterfly, just use the search engine and search in both the Other Drugs forum or Other Drugs Archives and type in phreex as your query. And choose search for in "whole thread", not subject.
 
u know i think the reason doctors are pessimistic is because if they were all optimistic and stuff then the person DOES die......that would be a HUGE let down. but on the other hand if they are pessimistic and the person pulls through, what a great surprise! its all in the psychology..........
 
a doctor says no more than he absolutly knows, and tries not to guess. and while you do want to give hope, you should always prepare the family for the worst, so the grief will not catch them unaware. you would be surprised how many families are told "he probably won't make it" and are still surprised when the patient dies. think what would happen if they were told "he'll be fine". they would feel even worse.
but never give up hope!
