Ever met someone from Bluelight?

I'm pretty sure river side is not that far maybe around an hour, who else in the LA area trying to get in?
 
Riverside is about an hour from Los Angeles. If we did it on a weekend no one would have to really be freaked out about getting stuck in traffic. Unless there's an accident but hey. Riverside is about an hour from Palm Springs Palm Desert, about an hour from Hesperia and Victorville, about an hour, probably less, from Orange County, depending on where YOU are.

I join in, I am in the Beverly Hills area of LA. So yea its about an hour from me and week end sounds prime.

What weekend looks good? We have a couple holiday weekends coming up. Which weekend do you think we'd have the best turnout?

I vote for December 4th. BL peeps... what say you?
 
there have been a slew of marriages happening lately, kicked off from BL. the hopeless romantic in myself wears a shit-eating grin due to this fact. it seems love truly does work in some of the most unlikely circumstances
 
I think it is important to extend yourself beyond the computer.
If I feel I connect with someone online or they interest me, I make plans to meet them.
I have met a handful of BL'ers and no horror stories....yet.
 
Any week end is good for me, including December 4th. Hopefully i don't have a big test coming up after but i think i'm good. Anyone else in our area wanna tag along ?
 
^you need to pick a large event and a meeting place at the event. then wait and see who shows up.
 
if the people are worth it, they will make it work. just like PI did when she saw my band in Boston when I was on the road. and I don't see everybody as much as I'd like, but hell I run into the likes of animal_cookie a good amount of the time, considering we live in different metropolitan areas

i see so many posts along the lines of "somebody should organise a meetup in...". be the change. organise a meetup and publicise it yourself or, at very least, reach out to those bluelighters with whom you feel some kind of connection or have some level of online relationship.

^^It takes a lot of energy and charisma to make that work though. Bad Boy Brian tended to pull it together here. He stopped by my place a few months ago and it turned into a mini meet up. Mostly because he picked up the phone and started making calls.
