Ever been busted by cops ?

have i just heard this through movies or something, or am i right that a person cannot come up to you and say "are you on anything/are you selling anything/do you want anything?" and then go tell a fellow cop your answer, to lead to your arrest/search etc?
because if police could do that, dress an undercover guy, or just ask a non law related mate to find a dealer, then ring em up, organise a hookup, and just arrest, wouldnt they do it more often, or even at all?
police/rave organisers MUST realise how many people that attend are either in possession or dealing of drugs... i never hear of many arrests.. am i blind or are the police stupid or is it just harder to catch than it seems?
and what about this, worse case scenario, im 17 nearly 18, i get caught with 3 pills, no crim previous record, considering i dont say much to police, but lose nerves and say a bit... (excluding name etc) how heavy is my damage likely to be?
how serious can a charge for possession of 1 or 2 pills be for a minor?
 
Melancolic - rave orginisers/cops are far more involved in the dealing than you would think... and besides, the purpose of undercovers at raves is to go after the big fish and stop any trouble (which there rarely ever is). You with 1 or 2 pills aren't exactly what they are after.
As for if you get caught with, lets say, less than 5 pills... well you are going to have a court appearance, and being a minor, i'm not sure if your guardians have to be aware (prolly footing the bill for the lawyer will be their awareness), but the most you are looking at is a fine, no conviction recorded, but a warning for the future. Most judges take this as an opportunity to warn you of the dangers of drugs, and how wrong drugs are... then go home and get pissed and smoke cigars.
Nothing will come of something minor like that, but don't say you are holding them for friends, hooking people up, selling them, because that is where supply and trafficking come into play.
As for entrapment (the cop coming up and asking to buy drugs) i don't know much about this yet, but from what i have gathered, they pretty much can get around it. I remember hearing somewhere about the "are you employed by any governmental department, commonwealth or state?" question that must be answered if a cop, but that is too easy if the cops are undercover in some serious shit (aka heroin importation operations, etc), so i doubt the validity of that.
Seriously, guys if you are interested in those type of personal freedom things, have a look at queensland's approach.. go to www.qld.gov.au and go to legislation then download the "Police Powers and Responsibilities Act 2000" this is just a codified version of the police powers to search, detain, question, etc.
it is easy to navigate and understand, have a look through, and feel free to ask if you have any questions. This is the best way to know exactly what, or something similar to, you are up against.

found this on the excellent link given in the last post, as guidelines for the courts as to what the different quantities mean.
3,4-Methylenedioxymethylamphetamine
Traffickable quantity 0.75g
Small quantity 0.25g
Indictable quantity 1.25g
Commercial quantity 0.125kg
Large commercial quantity 0.5kg
Heroin in the same order
3.0g 1.0g 5.0g 250.0g 1.0kg
so what this says is you need more heroin to be convicted than MDMA. I think that is pretty ridiculous, basically they are saying you need more heroin by weight to be considered a dose than you do MDMA. Personally I would have thought they'd be on the same level.
By the way, the weights for meth and speed are the same as for heroin.

Just a quick thing to think about, have any of you ever thought about who uses BL?
Cops do use it quite a bit. It is a perfect way to regulate us and get info from inside the scene, so don't be surprised one day if you're completely chopped at some meetup and it's actually a nark you're talking to.
Also don't call me a conspiracy nutter for this but they can and do scan all mobile phone calls, sms's, emails, and other electronic media for drug trafficing info. Seriously. I know this is true, I can't divulge how but Rushing Roccoco and a few others ppl i know i have told. BE CAREFUL!
