Bupe Euphoric or Not?

I have been on Sub's for 6 months now, They are a life saver for sure.

My question is, Do you get any kind of euphoria from taking your dose?

When I take my subs I get euphoria when I take just 3 8 MG's at a time and I get euphoria when I take 1 Sub, It doesn't really matter when. I'll get it in the morning when I take 2 and I'll get it at mid day if I decide to take one more.

I'm not sure how everyone reacts to them, because I hear people from the "program" I'm in that say they don't feel anything.

So what do you feel?

Suboxone/buprenorphine works by the same mechanism that other opioids do, it is entrirely possible to feel euphoria and analgesia. It is actually used in low doses for pain control in some people.

The reason most people using it as a maintenance/detox drug don't get euphoria is because they are accustomed to the effects of stronger opioid drugs.

When I was taking suboxone 24 mgs a day I felt absolutely no euphoria and no analgesia. It didnt offer much relief from opiate cravings and anxiety either.

I switched to methadone and thats helping me a lot more, I actually feel the effects and its helping with the cravings and anxiety.

I've tried a few opiates in my time and to be honest bupe was probably one of my favorite opiates. Not quite as much euphoria as heroin, fentanol, etorphine or oxycontin but the dreamlike state it gave me was really unique and I still remember the few days I spent on it extremely fondly.

I get euphoria from bupe. Not as much as I do from morphine or A-me-fent or such. However, it is still pleasant. I am not on a program, I just take it now and then as I come across it.

I get euphoria from subs however it has a "sicker" feeling to it. I will easily throw up and feel like shit on it as opposed to hydro or oxy where i feel great no matter what

combined with other drugs, yes, though this isn't great advice. bup plays well with others...

I find subs to be very euphoric, but it's euphoria diminishes with repeated use (such as sub maintenance). I use them recreationally and for withdrawals. Goes nicely alongside benzos, my favorite buddy benzo for bupe is diazepam . Tramadols synergize and potentiate the high IME, the only time I've found tramadol recreationally useful... paha

I too take subs regularly, and I find that I get euphoria if i wait 36 hours or so between doses.

I don't feel like the euphoria is as intense as when say using Hydro and Oxy but I feel it every time, even after 6 months.
Before I started my sub maintenance I had a very very high opiate usage but even still I feel the euphoric hug we have come to love from the bups.

I understand that someone can just wear out their opiate receptors so much that they wouldn't feel any euphoria but I thought I would have done that by now. Perhaps my brain is so in love that it just tries to get what it can from it, cause I don't mix anything with them.

Using Methadone is basically the same thing as using Hydo or OC or any other opiate, Bups work in a completely different way. They are designed to just shut up your receptors so they stop complaining, Methadone fulfills the whole opiate deal which is why you had better luck.

But the energy i get is just like if I were to feel a lil energized while sober wayyy back
Before I ever started doing opiates...
And btw 3 8mg subs sound rediculous to me lol
I got off 100$ a day tar habbit and have never taken more the 6 mgs a day!!
And even then Im always back to 4 mgs by the third day...

I got off 100$ a day tar habbit and have never taken more the 6 mgs a day!!
And even then Im always back to 4 mgs by the third day...

My habit was a little larger than $100, I also have a very high natural tolerance to opi's, and pretty much any drug besides benzo's. I also have some other issues that involve my brain and not my drug habit.

What method do you use for taking it? I was on subs for a long time and railed it mostly and always got a energy boost and a good mood feeling. Not a whole lot of euphoria though, maybe a little bit.

I get the strips, so there's no snorting these bad boys. I take them under the tongue for about 20-30 minutes or as long as I can and than spit out the narcan. I had the pills for the very first month I started maintenance but after that it has been strips. I like the strips more they hit you way faster than the pills and they are easier to travel with.

my favorite suboxone combo though is:
suboxone + MXE. the moxy gives the sub that "extra push."

sub also went quite well with mushrooms and LSD. O_O

If you have experienced Heroin euphoria then you would know the difference, its not subtle, its bam!!

Naloxone isn't water soluble so when you inject it or take it orally you don't actually process that drug, unless you are swallowing it after you leave it under your tongue or snorting it, than all the Naloxone does is take any opiates that are in your stomach out sometimes causing nausea. The Naloxone is just a scare tactic to try to stop abuse. So I wouldn't really say it's a combo.

I never get anywhere close to the euphoria from H but like you said everyone experiences things differently, that's exactly why I posted this, to see what everyone else feels like. Good info guys!

I have to admit bups are a perfect play pal with pretty much any substance.

I was on bupe at about 24mg for a few years. I never felt high or euphoric. But when I got clean I quickly realised how messed up I was on bupe. It just wasn't clear to me because I developed a tolerance, but I was still constantly wasted.

Since I got clean about 6 months ago i've used subs say 3 times for fun. No matter what the dose and no matter what the route of administration it is never truly 'euphoric' - it is very pleasurable and makes me very calm, happy and relaxed, but it's absolutely nothing like oxy or morphine. And it lasts much much much longer. I get like 2 or 3 days of feeling chill, and about 24 hours of being acutely high.

I dunno, for me there is a clear difference, not subtle, between injecting suboxone and injecting subutex.

1. Heroin type high from injected Subutex vs mild happy feeling from injecting Suboxone.
2. Immediate effect, hits staright away, when injecting Subutex vs a 10 - 15 min wait for the effects of injecting Suboxone.
3 These differences dissapear completely, when taking either as directed, sublingual.

Im not saying everyone experiences this, but it is for me, if its not the Naloxone in Suboxone making it feel different injected, what other difference could be doing it?

I do have one theory, even if the Nal is non water soluble, the solution I injected, was always very cloudy, and full of particulate.

Perhaps the Nal went into my bloodstream as particulate matter, undisolved, making its way to my brain?

I don't know, its the same reason you don't inject hydro's or vic's, The APAP isn't water soluble so it just floats down the river instead of being absorbed. When you take sub's how you are supposed to you leave it under your tongue until it dissolves and than spit out the remaining Naloxone which doesn't break down cause it's not soluble. That's interesting, I wonder if anyone else would know the answer to that. I'm going to do some research and soon around.

same here. this is my second go around been on since dec 2009 and first time was in 2001. I feel no pain relief, euphoria, nothing!! even with 4 valiums on top of it. Now if i take a few somas with them i get kegless. but sometimes i like adderall better which i get also cause subutex is just keeping me normal. beats chasing the dope man and running out every month though.
