~ Entheogenic Waiver ~

I ______________________ understand that I am going to ingest an entheogenic substance, and do so by my own free will.


I ______________________ take full responsibility for any of the effects that the entheogenic substance has on my mind or body.


I ______________________ take full responsibility for any harm I may do to myself or others while on the influence of the entheogenic substance.


I ______________________ take full responsibility for any decisions I may make while under the influence of the entheogenic substance.


I ______________________ do not hold anyone responsible, legally or otherwise, except myself, for the effects of the entheogenic substance or my actions while intoxicated.


I ______________________ understand that the entheogens can be extremely powerful, yet I also understand that the effects are variable and an experience is not guaranteed.


I ______________________ take full legal responsibility for all of my actions, as well as all effects relating to the entheogenic substance, both short-term and long-term. I hereby declare, with the signing of this document that I hold no one responsible in any way shape or form other than myself for anything relating to my entheogenic experience, the entheogenic substance or the administrator of the entheogenic substance. I accept sole responsibility.

This makes people think about what they are doing, perhaps reconsider and makes them take responsibility for themselves.

If you didnt have such a pompous attitude I wouldnt even pay much attention to you, I'd just read through your posts and say "He seems to know alot about Entheogens."
 
This is pointless. Psychedelics are illegal so we don't have any use for a waiver or other legal documents in any way shape or form.
 
^ true, also I generally try to avoid creating evidence. Something like this could well end up being referred to as "Exhibit C in the case of The People of the State of Kansas v. Teotzlcoatl." And everything aside, no one's doing anybody any good in jail or prison.

Its not a bad idea, I've actually read something similar, though simpler IIRC, regarding a patient-therapist contract for psychedelic psychotherapy. I believe it was in Higher Wisdom: Eminent Elders Explore the Continuing Impact of Psychedelics, the chapter interviewing the Shulgins I believe. Definitely worth a read.
 
ya i believe we need to start thinking about ideas like this, even if the powers that be dont yet recognize them
 
You know what? I'm going to take you up on this on teo. I actually like it. I'm sick of people looking to me when we're all fucked as though I'm the centrepiece of disaster or joy because I gave people something that they asked to try. Disclaimer ftw. If you got a problem, read what you signed, then deal with it yourself.

If they're having real problems I'll help, but having to be the one to constantly have my time ruined by idiots asking for shit or being incapable of easy shit just because they think I'm definitely going to be more capable than they are is frustrating as hell sometimes. I would like a piece of paper to point at and say "you signed it, I can't be fucked, you deal with it". I get the excuse of "it's your fault I can't do it myself" pretty often. Joke or otherwise it's annoying when someone busts into the awesome visuals you've been focusing on to annoy you for a glass of water when the tap is about 3 metres away.

People who are intelligent and mature enough to use drugs safely in the first place don't need your checklists or forms. They have brains and research skills.

Obviously you would burn or shred them the next day. Also people who are intelligent and mature still get carried away, sometimes more because they feel they are so intelligent and mature. A piece of paper that you've signed and forgot about and are shown again when you're being a douche would be an interesting piece of mental gymnastics.
