Eminem discussion

Picked up Recovery yesterday. I didn't like Relapse at first, then it grew on me and became one of my favorite Em cd's. I'm really hoping Recovery eventually grows on me as well. Right now, sounds too "pop" for my taste and maybe a little too personal. I like getting into Em's head, talking all kinds of crazy shit from Slim Shady LP to Relapse (Infinite was a good underground album, just not produced very well). Em's Raw and UnCut was great too. Recovery just seems way too soft. Sure, his flow is awesome, but it's not what I expected. Ask me again in about a month...lol.
 
the slim shady LP and marshall mathers are my favorites. lyrical genius without a doubt. not keen on his new stuff, some of it is good but it doesn't really compare. one of my favorite tracks has to be infinite
 
has eminem ever worked with Dj Premier on any tracks? Premier has got to be the best producer ever, his beats are amazing
 
Just got the new album. Pretty shit i reckon, few good songs but too 'pop' like & they all sounds similar

After a couple of listens I'd say this new album is much better than anything since the Marshall Mathers EP. The flows are on point and its lyrically much better than anything he's put out recently. I'm glad to see Eminem firing with all cylinders again.

eminems new album, aswell as relapse, encore, and eminem show blew,

such a disapointment for a career that started with slim shady lp, and marshal mathers lp, not to forget the underground awesome infinite,

eminem needs to start at least smoking weed again, then move back onto the psychedellics:)
 
The problem is, eminem goes where the music sells. That is pouring out his guts, dissing women, him being mentally unstable, and then having catchy club beats.

Before it was him introducing himself to us through his records. Now he raps how the record labels want him to (the biggest target audiences which happens to be middle / high-school kids)
