EGA 2011 Outdoor Psychedelic Symposium

It is with great excitement that we announce this year’s Keynote Speakers for our forthcoming conference in early December. Since October 1995 one webpage has been the go-to resource for psychonauts, researchers and medical staff, covering countless questions regarding sacred plants and psychoactive chemicals. That web page is EROWID. EGA is excited to welcome both the EROWID founders, Fire & Earth, to Australia to headline this year’s outdoor conference. The outdoor conference, is much much bigger, and even better more like a gathering with loads of art and many more layers to it.

As i am sure someone around these parts can corroborate, and that was before we went mad ;), this is the only event we have planned for the foreseeable future, so do not miss it.

Ronny, is it likely we won't have annual events anymore... that would be a shame!

Oh damn, about time I made it to one of these then!
 
We all very much hope too keep this fantastic event alive, but not sure if it is sustainable as an annual event that is all. Sure Hope to see some submissions for some blulighters this year.

With EGA lecture submissions closing yesterday, it has been good seeing so many submissions come in this year. It is testimony to Australia thriving entheo and chemically minded community. We will have our work cut out for us at EGA HQ with 3x as many submission as available slots. The team has got a lot of reviewing to do in the next 3 weeks or so but undoubtedly the program will be representative and even more amazing for it.
 
James Oroc - Tryptamine Palace
Author James Oroc originally wrote the book Tryptamine Palace (on the rare entheogen 5-MeO-DMT) for the Burning Man festival/community. Called (by High Times) "the best book on entheogens since Terence McKenna", Tryptamine Palace proposes both a radical mechanism for the entheogenic experience and that this experience is indistinguishable from the 'classical' mystical experience common to virtually all religions. Since the international publication of Tryptamine Palace (with foreword by Alex and Allyson Grey) by Inner Traditions in 2009, James Oroc has spoken at festivals and conferences around the world about the potential importance of the endogenous entheogens in the development of our mythology and mysticism, and developed the info-website on DMT, 5-MeO-DMT, and Visionary Culture.

If you have never been to an EGA, I highly recommend it.

It is well organised by a team of volunteers, has great informative, speakers and you will meet a lot of down to earth people there.
 
well im in, bought a ticket a few months back just before the fire and earth announcement... even happier now that they are going to be there :)
