14 year old girl dies and her friend survives after dropping 6 ecstasy pills.

Yet another casualty, brought on by lack of proper communication and misinformation...my sympathy goes out to the parents.

Once again, the parents blame the drug dealers and security officers. They even say that they talked to their daughter about drugs.

"Just last week, Cassie told her mother she would never take them.

"What, are you crazy?" she told her mother. "All that stuff will wreck my complexion."

"Why she took it, we'll never know," Eyre said Sunday.

Seems parents are still more worried about whether or not their kids are currently doing drugs, than if their children are informed about how to reduce the harm in the possibility that they do decide to do drugs.

"Cassie's parents believe the pills were triple strength, information Cassie's older sister got from friends who know the 16-year-old alleged dealer.

Let's not forget this gem;

"many girls walk around sucking on soothers, a telltale sign of ecstasy use." 8)

And the misinformation just perpetuates itself, police put the squeeze on E dealers, and the real problem goes unresolved.....yet again.
 
A 16 year old shouldnt be responsible for dealing drugs. A 14 year old shouldnt be taking pills.

Why is the government letting these things happen? bad it is ¬_¬

Poor lass and her family tho.. fucking 6 pills.. ats a bit keen.. when your 14 tho ya think your invincible. Fuck. I still do, till i start coming down...
 
Dude these pills are triple stacked!@#!@>?>@ Seriously how are you gonna take 6 pills of who knows what and not think something bad could happen? Im glad ive never eaten a roll because of the fact i dont know what im eating and im not gonna buy a test kit to test something ive allready bought just to find out i got ripped off. Some of these kids nowdays amaze me with there lack of knowledge about the things there gonna ingest. Maybe im just naive because im educated.
 
Blame shifting again. No one wants to accept responsibility. They all want the government to be their mommy and daddy and keep them safe from themselves. People want to give up all their freedoms so the government will take of them. People have got to learn that the government is not watching out for them. People have to learn personal responsibility and watch our for themselves.
 
Fuck, even 6 fish oil pills would likely make you smell. Taking 6 pills, supposedly thrice the normal potency, of crap you do not even know is really stupid. I am not sure that education would really stop stupidity (not ignorance). Not to put down harm reduction, but I think someone that would do this would not take harm reduction education seriously (although I could be wrong).

This is why there needs to be more harm reduction education instead of just the "Don't Do Drugs!" spiel. Are we even sure this shit was ecstasy? I've taken six pills in the course of one night and been fine (not all at the same time, of course.) It's a shame she died but this could have been prevented.
 
A 14 year old girl taking 6 Es is like a 14 year old girl skolling a 5th of vodka, ofcourse there was going to be trouble. If she was taught to test her pills and use in moderation you can bet this would not have happened.
 
I don't think they were tripple potency.

I believe they were the "x3" pills...I.e. "tripple stack"...like burger king commercials.
 
Haha, when I was 14 and just getting into drugs, I had the oppurtunity to try E, I was 15 actually, and I wanted to take only 1/2 a pill to start, lol, but wound up doing the other 1/2 over peer pressure quite soon after...That was still 1 pill though, there was no pressure to do more than 1 and I now realize that doing less than 1 was a bit childish in its own right.

I didn't have anymore 'education' than anyone else only knew that sometimes E could kill people and I wanted to be careful. I wouldn't have DREAMED of doing more than 1 or 2 for sure until well, last summer when I was 18 and took 3 at once as E had been way too weak the few times I had done it. Still gave a shit buzz and wasn't until just a month or two ago that I actually felt MDMA properly, lol.

This is a case of natural selection and not even a problem with prohibition. Even if MDMA was legal these dumb teens would still start with like 300-400mg to show how hard they were. Well I bet there was something else in those pills too, so it being legal would have helped in that sense for sure. Still, people are FUCKING STUPID. If drugs are ever legalized, I imagine we will hear a lot more about people doing ridiculous doses like 1g of MDMA at once or 30g of dried shrooms sort of deal. I mean, people are just fucking dumb, lol.
 
Well i mean the girl was seriously too soon educated about the pills in her school, has for 14 year old i would never even bother caring about drugs, but there dosing like that, surely not clean pills shouldnt have been eaten, sadly shit like this happens, there again, whos to blame ? maybe the fact that if they wouldnt be exposed to it at sutch a yougn age, but now a days we must educate starting yougn, parents has sadly somewhat responsable.
 
I bet she took pipes and wasn't getting the roll feeling so she just kept eating more until she ate a lethel dose of pipes. This is bound to happen to someone who has rolled but don't know what pipes are, there is a lot of 14 yrs. out there that eat pills, if they knew more about them and knew what pipes are, and how to get a test kit then this would rarely happen. I have kids and i was a kid so i know if you want to try a drug your going to try it oneway or another, why not teach harm reduction over,"dont do drugs. GOD BLESS her and her parents, i hat to hear someone so young dieing, a few of my freinds died from drug use and it terrible. SPREAD the WORD TO THE YOUNGER GENERATIONS YOU DON"T ALWAYS GET MDMA when you BUY EXTASTY.

What leads you to think that? There have only been two deaths from BZP as far as I know, one involving excess water consumption and the other involving MDMA.

I just thought it was a weird thing to say, and that it's probably more likely there was some more lethal adulterant present or perhaps just MDMA and her body couldn't handle it.
