Just cocked up a tomato and courgette soup.

First time making it, and recipe called for 1kg tomato and 1kg courgette, which is a lot so I halved the amounts, but in my hurry never halved the amount of stock, turmeric, water, onion etc. so it's going to be thinner than it should be.

Oh, well. I'll let it simmer down for an extra 30 minutes and see how it ends up. Smells pretty good.

Not munching just yet, but just prepared various bits for dinner tomorrow - sichuan cucumber salad, sichuan sesame aubergines and the dough to make some baozi which I'll fill with pork. Feast!

Breaking my slow cooker in with bolognese today, been on the go for a few hours and just tried it, tastes pretty fucking good now I've messed with it a bit. Threw a bit of soy sauce in and some puttanesca sauce along with it, glad I did. Sort of want to go destroy it all now but have to wait til she gets in and just took a bunch of codeine so.

It's very rich and morish with a lovely tart freshness to it...woman did you put almond essence in it? There's amazing flavours going on in that there sponge

I meant to take a proper foodie porn pic of it but the first portions got scoffed by the man via a spoon 8) Did you know before you baked it, that cakes like this are his favourite? Surprised I've managed to get a bite of it. There's a tiny bit left that I'm hiding to relish n revel over

Going to tackle some type of Lebanese lamb rice dish tonight, I have no idea how it'll turn out as I've only eaten Leb food in restaurants.

Oh yes! Shambles wanted to make it for me because I'm his cinnamon girl. I love the stuff! He didn't get his way though. Can't keep me from baking. I love a good baking sesh, especially at "my" work station side by side cooking with my boy wonder. It was delicious I must admit. Self praise SUS!!!

It's good if you fry it so it goes brown before adding all the sauce stuff to it, gives it a bit more flavour to stand up to spices.

Going to tackle some type of Lebanese lamb rice dish tonight, I have no idea how it'll turn out as I've only eaten Leb food in restaurants.

I do believe we did but you'd have to ask boy wonder about that. He added those spices. I chopped he mixed and added etc. We added a whole heap of stuff to it. I believe it might have been macadamia nut. No, I did not know that Felix was partial to that kind of cakey stuff. Like I said, Sham wanted to make it for me but I couldn't waste a wonderful opportunity to bake along side the boy. WORTH IT! I'm so very glad you both like it. This pleases me greatly!

Also, Drools over thought of your Lebanese lamb. YUM!!! When can I come over for dinner????

Shammy did get my culinary inspiration working again, thanks S The Leb lamb dish turned out really yummy.
