Just munched two slices of toast wiv lemon and coriander hummous atop 'em. Tasty but not overly exciting. Am mainly posting cos I forgot to mention last night's din/pud combo which was especially fine: (particularly fine if I do say so myself) chilli and rice (topped with with last of that cheese. bacon, leek 'n' cider sauce) for dins and banana custard with a couple of large toasted "American style" pancakes (not homemade - just Kingsmill but were reduced and had a craving) and a drizzle of butterscotch syrup. Really very tasty indeed and still got half a dozen 'nanas and four large pancakes left. Will knock up some more custard later (custard has been tinned Ambrosia thus far cos is also on offer) cos recent cravings for aforementioned pud have yet to be fully sated :!

Wow that all sounds ace. I wouldn't be able to eat all that but it does sounds scrummy n I like that ambrosia custard.
 
Recent munchings have largely featured reduced section Co-Op "Truly Irresistible" pasta-based microwave meals with garlic bread (today's with added cheddar cheese betwixt each slice before cooking) and yet more "Truly Irresistible" action via the medium of both interpretive modern dance and "proper" Parmesan (shaved not grated). Both got a slosh of halfway decent red wine added before cooking too.

Yesterday's was beef canneloni al forno (particularly like the distinction between pure meaty (roughly chopped not minced) filling and tomato-based surrounding sauce as opposed to more commonly encountered mince 'n' tomato all-around affairs).

Today's was sausage ragu with pachheri pasta with roasted onions.

I doubt I'll make it to a pud tonight but if I do it will be a goodie so good it'll get a post all of its own. This pud must happen. Oh yes it must.

I was interrupted, whilst eating my steak dinner.

The weans from around here kept throwing stuff into the garden and kicking on the door very brazenly. Not like nick-knock, where you knock and run away. He was kicking away and looking in through the window. I got up and opened the door. They ran away a bit but didn't think I'd give chase. I did %)

All but one ran away into the house around the corner. As they closed they door I heard inside, ''What the fuck have yis done now!?''.

I rang the doorbell and explained. The woman was very nice about it and so was I, ''boys will be boys'', and all the usual.

They really are wee shites though. We were wee shites, too. However, they are bigger wee shites :|

Steak was nice as I made it :p
 
Checked it out. They just send the ingredients but seems like a good idea nonetheless. Would try it just to see the quality of the ingredients if I lived in England.
 
Do make sure to report back on how it goes. Would be an interesting business idea
 
i will do i just need to get my esa sorted out first going be a late payment this time so i wont get paid next wednesday :(

the is a few companies like this now doing ready prepared and like this it sort of meals on wheels but for everyone
