Doesnt look all that great, most of the mushrooms and bacon were in the second platefull. Yes i was that greedy. Deliberately cooked far too much and couldnt move for hours aftrerwards, i didnt eat much over the weekend, that's my excuse.

Got loadsa bargains at Co-Op earlier. Beef curry for dins tonight - not decided on type of curry but pound of beef for £2 means it's beef whatever it is. Lunch involved garlic loaf. Apparently this is different to garlic bread and it is cos is garlic-flavoured bread not bread with garlic on it. If you see what I mean. Very good with a cheese 'n' ham sarnie. Shame it was el cheapo wafer thin ham stuff - forgot how watery that stuff is. Was dripping. Actually wanted to wring it out and probably should've done. Was cheap but that was taking the piss even by cheap ham standards.

Just to add it was a bloody good beef curry whatever type it was. Also found a way to cook naans satisfactorily without a grill. Bought 'em accidentally forgetting I had no way to make them edible. Now made edible.

(microwave till steam is a-puffing then put on red-hot hobtop for a few seconds to char a bit in case anybody ever happens to be without suitable naan-preparation equipment)

Just tucking into some Creamy Chicken & Leek Casserole. I forgot to buy carrots though, which I usually put in it.

I really like making these chicken casseroles with a roux & either spinach or leek, very easy to make & taste great.
