Food was lovely - lemony couscous, stew of chickpeas/kidney beans - was a Turkish vibe of cumin / oregano.

bleedin foodie show offs ! (Im only jealous ;))

That stew is so easy to make but tastes great - at a push you can use a jar of tomato pasta sauce, add a tin of chickpeas a tin of kidney beans, some cumin/chili powder and thats pretty much it. I use tinned tomatoes that I blend and a squirt of tomato paste so I can control the salt / additives and it just tastes better (you do need to add a pinch of sugar but still a way better for you than a jar of sauce)

The main flavor should be oregano / cumin / garlic. It just works with the chickpeas and kidney beans.

I had omelette (cheese n parsley), toast with fresh tomato and olive salad for breakfast.

will make that next week Bear, if it's half as nice as yours i will be happy. tonight im going to do T bone steaks for dinner, along with mashed potatoes, onions n mushrooms and a pepper sauce.

Why are you paying other people to make you food that certainly looks a lot worse than the stuff you whip up with apparent nonchalance on a seemingly daily basis?

;)

That said, a curry sounds quite nice :D

Its pretty much impossible to mess up and the longer you have to cook it the better it gets :)

You will need ... (few lines of coke Nigella style)

Few tbls spoons of oil
couple of oniions chopped to a dice and a few cut into rings
a Medium sized pepper also chopped to a dice (bit bigger than the onion)
Chickpeas (a can)
Kidney Beans ( a can)
tomato (two cans) - blend them or chop them up in the pan if you can be arsed.
tomato paste (a generous squirt)
Chili (as much as you like)
Oregano
Cumin
Fresh coriander (optional)
Salt n pepper
and a big pinch of sugar

Heat oil, add garlic, chili, cumin and give it a good stir until the raw flavor has gone - add the diced onions and a some salt (to extract the moisture from them and make them go soft but not brown), when they have lost their bite add the peppers. When the peppers are starting to soften - scrape the cooked stuff to one side and add your tomato paste and stir it unti it looses that bright red color (few mins) then mix that with the softened vegs. Stir them for a bit and then add the blended tomatoes (if you cant be arsed to blend them add them as is but just crush them in the pan) Give that mix a few mins to cook until the raw taste leaves then add the chickpeas / kidney beans and dried oregano (teaspoon ish). Let it all bubble for a bit then add a big pinch of sugar and pepper. During the last bubbling - I add the finely sliced onions to the dish has a bit of texture :).

Let it bubble away as long as you can be arsed :) - if your serving with couscous, squirt some lemon into the bowl before you serve the cous cous :). Few mins before serving stir in the corriander :)

10£ and no dishes. I have them trained - low salt - extra spicy :D Was enough for us two fat lads and got some left over for breakfast :)

I just had a fairly low-thrill meal of Moroccan couscous from Sainsbury's and two slices of bread 'n' spread.

Feel a bit low energy today. I could have done with having something nice but couldn't be bothered even getting a takeaway.

But wait! Cheesecake in the fridge! Thrills-a-plenty.

I had a delicious home made pork stew.
well technically it was cooked in a home just not mine my ma's home and delivered to me ;-)
meals on wheels for drug casualties

Beats processed food or lifting a finger to actually cook something myself.. i do if im up to it.
its not easy

(I do appreciate it tho joking aside)

too tired to cook.
gonna drink everything i can find in the fridge though. probably some alcohol in there too if the orange juice fermented already

I just got back from my mum and dad's, had my sunday tea, it was like a half-baked, undercooked early Christmas. Turkey breast, new potatoes, sprouts, broccoli, gravy, something else. All the veg was just a shade underdone but the turkey was excellent.

Ungrateful sod that I am.

Was really nice - (recipe a few pages back). I stuck the left overs in the fridge and ate them two days later <3.

Busy cooking an Indian inspired meal -

Aloo Ghobi (Potato and Cauliflower ) - Sweet curry
Brindjal Kadai (Aubergine curry)- Sour curry
Moon Bean Daal
Rice
