I noticed the lightness of your pie! Spottend the "rising" dare I say errection of the pastry layers!

Pizza eve is when the Man does dinner - always pizza cause thats his thing (the only thing he can "cook"). Other wise I get taken out to a restaurants or take away is brought in. I have got him tutored on salads too so he's ok on them, but cuts the ingredients up too small. Nae flair! Nae apptitude for it, you surely know what I mean haha..

I know what you mean :) - the other Mr Bear is an alright cook but gets a bit carried away with adding spices (the more the merrier school of cooking :D). I don't make pizza's that often, I think we probably eat more curries than anything else.
 
today started off with a cup of tea, soon followed by a nice big fry up. lunch was a Mac Ds and dinner was Chinese take away.

not a very healty Saturday but i did have a little walk on a beach.
 
Just woken up after eating a hooning spooners lunch. It was rammed with a load of people going to Wireless, so there was a massive wait - we had 4 pints whilst waiting. Can't complain when you get fairly decent fish & chips plus a pint for £5 though.
 
More a drink than food but I tried one of those shakeaway milkshake things for the first time earlier and my god, it's literally the best thing that has happened in my life so far. White chocolate kinder beuno, marshmallows, white chocolate buttons and ice cream. Obese.
 
Yeah they're mostly southern stores i think. There isn't one near uni anyway. I knew there was a drink thread, couldn't be bothered looking for it because I'm on my phone but tbh these things are filling enough to count as a meal anyway.
 
I made a lovely Apple and Cherry pie yesterday (finally used that left over cherry filling) - wasn't as sour as the previous pie but was still pretty tasty.

I had a protein bar for breakfast and am now having nicotine lunch yummmm.
 
Did we ..fuck thought it was day before..marble lost. Tonight I am off to BBQ and am greatly looking forward to vegetable/lamb skewerd thingys. An umm yep may have had one small toot.
 
Yay! got back in the cooking scene after a few months of being an absolute sloth and easting whatever fell my way.

made my first batch of pesto last night. no pine nuts (fucking expensive), but used caju nuts instead to good effect. the garlic tricked me a bit by being too aromatic and overpowering it a lil bit. but overall im quite pleased with myself :D
 
Yeah technically you should use pine nuts in a pesto but they are expensive if you're on a budget and you can go rogue with other ingredients nice and easy with pesto. Rocket and walnut pesto is a nice alternative to your regular basil version. Something to remember is you don't actually need too many of them if you are making traditional pesto, people often use way too much pine nut and parmesan and it ruins the balance.

I miss having my giant pestle and mortar...
