EADD what are you munching on? Not overdone like the last thread.

It's more just a scorched cover really - all the pages remain intact.

I've got one of those shitty, completely flat, electric hobs. Far too often I use it as a general purpose surface when it's not on. I'd stupidly left the book on it and turned the knob by mistake. There you have it. Incendiary stuff!

Eating one of these badboys:

Brought so much food back from Gran Canaria, my suitcase was fit to burst.

They're wafers with hazelnutty stuff between them and covered in chocolate, so a bit.

I had a jamon serrano and queso semicurado sandwich for lunch, I imagine I will be eating a varierty of Spanish things for a at least a week.

edit: also had a palmera, yum.

Chook 'n' veg soup wiv lomticks of (red leicester & pumpkin seed - very tasty so it is) bread for the dunking of.

And in relation to the cheap meat chat above, also got quite a bit of that. Serendipity is a wonderful thing and today brought me two minted lamb steaks for two quid. Also a big pack of (normally bloody expensive) sausages (pork 'n' mango apparently - either gonna be very tasty or horribly manky I suspect). Also got some Szechuan chicken which will either end up as green curry or possibly slightly eccentric fajita filling depending on mood at the time. Gotta cook beef curry tonight though. Managed to forget to soak dried legumes :o

Just an easy meal... wholemeal penne with chicken, courgette & orange pepper with just a little Loyd Grossman tomato & garlic sauce. I would have had some cheese on the top but I discovered I didn't have any when I went to get it out the fridge. :|

A frozen pizza that I have pimped to the max. Still mulling over the ethical implications of this whilst it cools.

Salmon, capers, lemon zest and garlic mixed with a spinach pasta - was gorgeous.

You sort of influenced my tea Bear, cut up some courgettes from the garden and had them with lots of lemon and a bit of pesto with pasta.

Whilst I was away the boy made a coconut and lime cake with a coconut he won at a coconut shy the other week. It was really soft and delicious.

It's my regular handle on my other message board, I should get the sig and avatar on the go really.

edit: avatar looks shit and tiny and I think only mods can have a sig.....bent:X back to a faceless profile it is

Courgette and basil/rocket pesto <3 (mixed with a few eggs and baked - side salad :D)

I'm on a no holds barred eating mission again. Still can't eat too much (insoluble) fibre which makes mealtimes weird. I'm 58kg and I need to be 65kg to be considered for surgery. So this week I'm having dessert as well at the work canteen; got a massive slab of frosted carrot cake for £1.30, the quality is way above what you'd expect for canteen food too.

Insoluble fiber isnt that easy to consume in bulk - can you eat fruit smoothies ? Great way to get the fiber and if you mix that with something like popcorn will make you feel full but not good for weight gain?

Frozen blueberries. Didn't want to wait for them to thaw out. And believe it or not they are actually great in case of munchies =D try it

Left it a bit late cooking curry (although it's basically done it won't be good til the morrow) and left myself starving so had to go buy bolognese pasta bake (is cheap at the moment and actually not too bad for a microwave thing - definitely noticed the lack of red wine I usually slosh in when it's cooking though :!).

Got the rest of that expensive creme brulee yoghurt needs finishing for pud. Very disappointed - especially as I paid full price for it. It's all cream and no brulee dammit :!
