The female pups have been named Mary, Holly, Ivy, Robin, Elf and Tinsel, and the males Joseph, Noel, Rudolph, Frosty, Snowy and Gabriel. The 12 puppies are being cared for at the Blue Cross centre in Southampton, Hants.
