EADD "Quote of the Day" thread!

"... and I said 'I think you mean psi, phi and chi'. Ahahahaha!"

I overheard a lecturer of mine saying that in a pub once to a bunch of postgrads. Whatever joke has that as a punchline I don't want to know...

"Hey lady, just 'cos you're taller than me, it doesn't mean you can't show a man some respect. Free your mind and your body will follow"

A crazy Man to a fashionista by South Kensington Tube during London Fashion Week

The difference between being a child and an adult is, when you're a child, your childhood is provided for you; when you're an adult, you have to provide it for yourself.

'I wonder if adults enjoy adultary as much as children enjoy childhood?'

I've been reading through comments on the BBC news website relating to the DNA database expansion and pick out a couple of quotes i quite like

"He who is willing to sacrifice a little freedom for the promise of security deserves neither and will soon lose both"

"We may have won WWII, but the ideas of Hitler, Stalin & The Stasi are alive & kicking. Someone somewhere said that those who forget the crimes of history are bound to repeat them. If they have not been forgotten they are surely being overlooked. Hitler was an inadequate consumed by fear. The labour government are the same."

Clement Duval on theft

Theft exists only through the exploitation of man by man... when Society refuses you the right to exist, you must take it... the policeman arrested me in the name of the Law, I struck him in the name of Liberty

But remember kids, no fellow sufferer.

I thought that was Franklin but I was wrong apparently ...

Baldrick, have you no idea what irony is?
Yes, it's like goldy and bronzy only it's made out of iron.

^ When I first saw that in an episode of Blackadder the Third I remember i nearly choked as a mouthful of coffee went down the wrong way - it's difficult to simultaneously be pissing yourself laughing and worrying you're going to choke to death

“They said whatever you do don’t look him in the eye so that’s all I could do.They actually let me in. Some irresponsible bastard said lets put Marilyn Manson on ecstasy in a cage with a red arse baboon.”

I read that interview! Funny as fuck. The funny bastard said that he didn't like Es, because they make him like everyone. :D

I cannot remember who said it concerning pet dogs:

'First to greet, foremost to defend'

Although I'm more of a cat person.

Sorry to bump this, but I had to include this classic:

"Our enemies are innovative and resourceful, and so are we. They never stop thinking about new ways to harm our country and our people, and neither do we." - George W Bush
