Been working on this one tonight. Came out a lot more static-y than the others, not really sure why.

A Walk Through A Forest

I was thinking of maybe adding drums to this one? It's at 145 bpm but it doesn't feel very fast.

^ cool :) my mate owns an 808! still not been round to have a piss about. He's even taken it out for a few live sets mad bastard

I just finally got a new laptop, had my old one since like 2006 and it was a nightmare to produce on, despite my best efforts the things had just slowed down. But with my shiny new kickass machine (and my new 720p 17'' external monitor) have been having fun on Reason again. Firstly got Recycle and sliced up an amen, then spent hours triggering each 1/8th slice using my nanokey. Instant jungle! I swear I'm now Shitmat ;)

I'd love an actual 808. The problem with sample kits is horrible aliasing on 16bit samples with the kicks. I haven't really got a softsynth suited to making drum sounds like that, the envelopes are never tight enough.

i dunno if its been done or what before but anyone interested i n doing like a eadd any genre goes compilation thing, could even have artwork if anyones good at that sort of thing.

A lot of motivation, and a lot of time to kill. Plus I only have Jan's synth for a limited amount of time, I want to get the most out of it before it's gone.
 
That file doesn't open in wmp or winamp mate, sorry think you messed up the encode. Looked really awesome sounding aswell. Albion I have a plan so you can keep Jans synth. Well a work around if you will. This way everybody gets what they want. Individually record every note individually in every possible setting variant to an individual wav file some where on your computer. Then where you give it back you will still be able to produce your tunes in the same manner. Problem solved, you can relax a little now. Don't tell Jan though, it'll be like telling the person you give a gift of a cd too that you took a rip of it before you wrapped it. Feels worthless then.

Oh Time remix, drums are down, structure is in place, I'm struggling to get anything musically creative and different enough to post. Is down to the stim abuse and just staring blankedly at the screen for hours on end. Then closing the program. I could just post your loops put to a 'banging' drum sample. But I feel that would be lame and pointless as anyone could have done that. But that's exactly what I do want to do. It will come. After some sleep I imagine.

I'm listening now and yeah that's a very mellow ambient mood you have developed there. With bass wubs as well. Winner. It sounds a little like the Mr Scruff stuff I've been listening to recently. Which I love. Like the understated beat. Well worked. Less is more if you get it right. Which I believe you have. Fits perfectly with the ambiance of the track. Very good.
