. I call
Monstanoodle, and
Monstanoodle, you appeared, answered my question and left tonnes of comments on my soundcloud. So much
Albion I listened to all your tunes on SC mate, not my style per say but very creative and well executed. You a ket fan by any chance?-It sure sounds like it (in a good way). What DAW are you using and are you running things through a half decent sound card?
I am a ket fan, but it (more mxe than ket tbh) hasn't had an influence on the way I make my music for a long time now. The only two songs I made under the influence of MXE were
Calculator and
Black Hole, both of which are over a year old now.
In terms of DAW (what does DAW actually mean?), up until 4 months ago I did everything on Reason because it was the only interface I could navigate, but then Jancrow lent me his old skool synth and I found out about line-in cables and was forced to use Ableton for a lot of things. Recently I've learned a lot about Ableton and what it's good for, being having a lot of fun dragging songs from my library in there and sampling them, chopping them up, making new songs from them. Tbh now I won't use Reason for anything besides adding drums to stuff, but even drums these days I enjoy sampling from other tracks and making new beats in Ableton too much to bother with Reason.
Something about Ableton is just much more fun. And the results are much more natural sounding since everything I use is sampled one way or another, be it from a song, or from me hooking up my violin or the synth and recording that.
Here's something I made today:
These fields are dead, Elysium
