^ Absolutely great film Brimz, one of my favourites. My missus supports Forest so Brian Clough is close to her heart obviously.
I have recently thanks to another forum I visit and the members pushing me into it got into the Isle of Man TT races. Due in part to this film:
TT: Closer To The Edge
Now before non sporty types switch off I beg you to give this a try and see like I did that sports documentary films can have drama. The spotlight falls on Guy Martin. Yes that Guy Martin who put a steam powered shower on his narrow barge:
He's quite a character and seems very accessible unlike the F1 lot who probably look down on us peasants.
So a film not just for motor racing / speed fans but a great look into the minds of the characters that take part and an insight into the limits these guys push themselves. A cracking little film.

I really rate Guy Peace as an actor ever since I saw Momento. Never thought that much of him in Neighbours, or was it Home & Away. Can't seem to remember.

21 minutes into "13 Samurai" and I'm already captivated.
This is going to be fucking brilliant - But you can't expect anything but amazing from Miike-san

It could have been terrible, like... Genesis terrible, but it pulled it off in it's own way

I find the whole concept and ideology fresh in some respects and I can almost see it becoming a part of the latter years of human domination on Earth.

Have you seen Half Nelson? It's one of his early ones and it's really good (it's about a drug (think it's coke?)-addicted teacher who gets helped by one of his students).
Crazy Stupid Love is fun and light as well.

I find that the experience can be recreated by placing a potato with two black olives attached to it in a box and staring at that for two hours. His agent is attempting to outlaw the sale of potatoes on the grounds that once a fan has constructed the apparatus outlined above they have no need to watch more of his client's films.
