Kind of backs up a lot of what's been said on this thread - things aren't really as they should be. Prices are too high, VIP is taking over and people are staying away.
I'll still go over for a few days in September and I'll probably have a great time but it's not nice to hear all this stuff. People have been complaining about Ibiza getting over-commercialized since forever but it's hard not to agree that it really is happening at the moment. A lot of these superstar DJs demanding a million quid a night are really nothing special and the clubs shouldn't allow themselves to be held to ransom by them. Give the gig to someone younger and hungrier (and probably better) and let the big names play to their crowds of "EDM fans" in Vegas.
Ibiza should be relaxed, fun and free-spirited, that's why people love it. Sounds like it's less of all three than it was even a few years ago.
