Yes. Get to the Snowbombing festival in Mayrhofen (April). Snowboarding in the day, clubbing at night. Still hopeful of doing it one day, but I can only begin to imagine how exhausting it is.
 
Not a lot of positive reports on this thread so far... :| hoping to make it PdB for 2/3 days in early September, couple of nights out. Is the old bill still hassling people or has that died down now?

Never been to Sankeys, is it worth it? Was thinking Space or Amnesia for the other night but much though I love the latter I almost got crushed to death there last year so I'm ambivalent.
 
Just back from a few nights last week. Found the Blue Ghosts quite weak, but was able to manage that by just taking a few. Excellent quality high though with that given - no jaw clenching, just really clean and no bad comedown or hangover the next day at all. They were the dark blue ones with the 'R' imprint on the back.

We did We Love @ Space on Sunday and the bouncers seemed to be on a really high alert. Regularly prowling the gents toilets, and going around shining a flashlight in peoples faces to see their eyes. Then going through anyone's pockets (and wallets) who's eyes they thought were suspicious. Is that normal? Never seen it anywhere else on the island before... It was a bit of a bad buzz to be honest.

That sounds horrific - never heard of it happening anywhere in Ibiza before. Just doesn't make sense - on Sundays in Space >90% of people will have eyes like black holes, and it's been that way for decades. It's hardly a secret! Were they slinging anyone out? Hopefully they're just targeting dealers, or they've been told there are undercover cops in the house so they want to be seen to be doing something. If it's not that then Space is committing commercial suicide because if folks can't get into an altered state without being harrassed then they'll take their custom elsewhere. Yeesh, still can't believe what you wrote!!

I am heading out on Thursday and have got a couple of testing kits. I know this has been discussed before but I am a bit paranoid about putting them in my suitcase. I have removed all packaging and put them in my wash bag. I did this last year but there has been a lot going on recently with air travel and I don't really want to have to explain why I have them to a customs officer. Any advice on this?

Didn't see any polis hassling people while I was there. And, yes, Sankey's is worth it if you like that UK underground club vibe.

That sounds shit. But it does make me feel slightly better about missing WLS while I was there, which I've properly been kicking myself about.

I've done big nights in Amnesia, Pacha, Privilege, Zoo Project, Space, Ushuaia, Es Paradis and Privilege over a few visits over the last two years and this year at We Love in Space was the only place I've seen anything like it - really odd. Before this the most intense security I've experienced is the odd half hearted pat down and the occasional glance in my wallet at the door, never anything inside a club.

The crowd was its standard drugsy self so I'm not sure how they were singling people out to be honest, it seemed to be entirely at random. I didn't see anyone being thrown out but I did see them taking stuff off people multiple times. I'd love to know if anyone else has seen similar this year or would know the reasoning behind it.
 
Funny you mention it, I felt uneasy in Space by the bouncers at the looks and even in the bathroom and not even a comparison to the other clubs. I did not see any checks but just the stares and glances.

^^ Ive witnessed it quite a lot really over the years? The bouncers shining lights in your face though, are they not the UV lights to check for cocaine? They also use them in the UK sometimes on entry, pretty sure they dont work though is random when your wired and you get one in your face, probably just so they can search you.

They know everyone is fucked on pills etc its not like they chuck you out when they realise much like other places, every person getting water and looking like a rabbit caught int he headlight would be turfed out then and theyd make no money.

Clubs generally get pressured from the police anyway, its the same in most of the clubs though. Ever tried having a shit in the toilets in Amnesia? When you sit down the bottom half of the toilet door is at penis depth hah

That's brutal. Always felt fine in Space. I remember the first time, jumping in the toilets to retrieve a wee roll of pills from my shoe. Dropped one, it landed on it's side and rolled away under the toilet door. Cue me crashing out the shunky and racing after this pill before it hit a wet patch. I'm sure there was a bouncer standing there who just looked at me like I was an idiot and left me alone.

I do remember one time I was in Amnesia, at Cocoon, a few years ago. There was bouncers charging about being dicks, catching people either passing pills to their mate or even just as they were obviously holding something in their hand and opening a bottle of water to swallow it with. Two bouncers with torches charging over and grabbing the person's hands. They caught my mate about to swallow one, pure shouting at him to empty his pockets, he only had one more on him so just gave them it and they let him go.

It's usually fine though. Must be a case of the polis keeping a closer eye on them the odd night causing the bouncers to go into turbo cunt mode.
 
Nothing beats that old Spanish couple selling Chupa Chups at the front of the main room bathrooms in Amnesia. They're the most expensive Chupa Chups I've ever had, but after a ASOT/Cream double, they're definitely the best I've ever had.

I also have to say Space doesn't have much of an underground feel for me. Ushuaia for me is way more of an anything goes type of club, it's practically lawless in there once the sun begins to set. How I wish it went on until 2-3am.

A ton of people I was staying with had the ghosts and no one had any complaints about the comedown. They're an extremely clean high. A few others I know and myself rate them higher than the gold bars. The gold bars I'd rate as slightly cleaner, an incredible pill, but the rush from the ghosts was a lot more intense. The comedown from both pills was identical to me.

There are also 2 different batches. The copycat batch looks like the pills have been dyed really poorly, its hard to explain but it's a really funny blue as well. The shit ones are also crumbly, especially the tentacles.

Yeah I just spoke to some people who came back and they rated the Blue Ghosts the best. Shame there is a 2nd batch. The only difference the shading? I might have to ask for a sample before buying in bulk.

Also, Re: the Space situation. That would totally kill my buzz.
 
Yeah the fake ones are more of a turquoise blue. The shape is similar but the fake ones look crumbly.

The good ones are well pressed, firm and more of a dark blue with greyish shadings. The crystal md is easy to see. Hope this helps!
 
From all the reports floating about im almost glad im not going ti ibiza this year.

Cops searching folk, shite pills!!?, over enthusiastic bouncers and the place is full of actual VIP cunts and wannabe VIP cunts being ripped off more than normal by cunty club owners being greedy cunts.

Fuck it. I might do space and sankeys opening parties in future but that is. Its gone to the dogs!

With negativity like that, I don't know how you could enjoy anything in life.

I personally had the best time of my life, and some of my best moments were drug free. I didn't notice any VIPs, I never had any issues with bouncers, I met a ton of incredible people, tickets were an extra 5 euros but worth it, and the mdma is just as good as last year. Taking a break is the key to a good roll.

There's also more to the island than just PBD and San Antonio. I had some great drug free experiences staying in Figueretas/Ibiza Town. Ibiza is what you make it mate. Cheer up, life's not so bad!

Yeah you're spot on man!! I'm happy in a way that I can still have fun without them. If anything not being as fucked up on pills as last year helped me more with the girls.

I'll be back at the end of August/ start of September so I'm getting excited again. It's a shame you couldn't go back brother!!
 
Wish I was going this year, decided to wait until next but kinda wishing I hadn't now. Could have afforded both but I don't have a passport now and won't be able to get one before I go back to uni at this stage probably. Fuck it, something to look forward to at least.
