I've got chronic headaches, brainfog and anxiety which are definitely linked to my chronic constipation and bloating.
No doctor has been able to diagnose me and it's been over 4 years now since symptoms began.
I'm told it's all in my head, that the digestion issues can't be linked to the anxiety.
The thing is I know myself very well and I've done countless 'experiments' with various diets and probiotic and antibiotics and all have reinforced my theory.
There is a book I found which I feel offers a viable working theory as to what is wrong with me. It's called 'the inflamed mind' and its wrote by:
Edward Thomas Bullmore, FRCP, FRCPsych, FMedSci is a British Neuropsychiatrist, neuroscientist, and academic. Since 1999, he has been Professor of Psychiatry at the University of Cambridge.
So this makes sense to me, describes what I'm going through etc. But it's new research, newer studies etc. Not in current NHS training or doctor/specialists understanding.
So I'm forced to self medicate for a severe, undiagnosable condition, unfortunately.
80mg oxycontin works wonders along with 2mg clonazepam and 300mg pregabalin.
240mg codeine does the trick too to be fair, just not quite as well, and obviously less enjoyable. It fills in the gaps between the expensive oxy.
I no doubt have an opiate addiction at this point. But I have 3 or 4 years worth of codeine stocked up so I'm not too worried at the moment.
Life was miserable and the anxiety and headaches unbarable before I started self medicating. It really was getting to the point of it not being worth living. At least now I can function as a somewhat normal/capable human being.
