Having said all that i'm a firm believer in adults being allowed to do anything they want to their own bodies; even stuff i don't like (just not to kids).

Apparently a lot of numbing agents can cause minor skin damage and that. Don't think I've had any piercing of mine done but all the ones I still have in are home jobs bar a few that I've since taken out.

Is it Physical Poetry that's meant to be good for tattoos? I want some work on mine done and am loathe to go anywhere I've not heard of as the bloke who did my first one didn't do a very good job. It's acceptable, like, but that's not what you look for in tattoos really.

i've got stretched lobes but that's the only clearly visible mod on me. I've heard similar things about numbing agents, have had loads of piercings over the years and the pain is only for such a short amount of time I think the fear of the pain must be far worse.
 
Yeah, think the fear is the worst. The worst pain I've felt from any piercing or body mod is when I had my nose pierced. That was pretty brutal. The rest didn't hurt half as much as I anticipated. Was shitting myself going for my tattoo but found the pain sort of enjoyable in the end.

Physical poetry is good for tattoos yeah, so is Ultimate Skin. Luke used to do the piercing at Ultimate Skin.

And your right about the numbing agents - plus, it takes away from the experience. If you want something bad enough then why not go through the pain? Its not even that painful and its a split second.

After seeing those pics I don't event want to shave. Stomach is still upset.

Who knows what was going on in her mind. From the other pics it seems she does it often. I cannot event think up of an irrational idea. Maybe if someone was completely insane and paranoid they could reach that state of mind but, to do that, take pictures and post them on the net you must have some form of clarity.
 
Oh my word, what a poor fucked up girl in those links. I've had my own battles with self harm issues, in many different forms, but fortunately I got the help I needed and learnt to address things in a less damaging way, and it's now a thing well in the past. I hope that girl got the mental help she so obviously needed.

It's a fucked up site in general & would advise caution looking at anything else on there.

The whole body modification thing just does not appeal to me, but I'm intrigued by the mods people have had done.

Q. Do you have parents & if so, what do they think about it all?

Q. Are a lot of your friends into this as well?

Q. I understand you really couldn't give a fuck what people think, but you'll know more than most that the majority will judge on first impressions. So what kind of work can you see yourself doing or even getting, when most employers probably won't touch you with a 10-foot bargepole?

Q. Do you think you will keep looking for the next mod for years to come?

Q. What's your favourite colour? :D

It's one thing seeing a young girl with a tramp stamp at the base of her back & thinking she'll regret it in later life, but to go so far facially makes me more than curious why someone wants to do it.
 
That site is NOT body modification. Theres a massive difference between self harm and body modification.

A. Yes I have parents, they dont like my mods, my mam nearly died when I showed her my tongue split and shes tried to get me to promise not to get it redone - my dad doesnt really have an opinion on it, he understands that im 24 and Ive been getting modded since I was 16 and im going to keep doing it. I dont have a job at the moment but I live in fucking Middlesbrough - there is literally nothing here, ive even started applying for jobs in Newcastle.

A. Some of my friends are into it yes, most of them have at least one or two piercings.

A. I always take my piercings out for job interviews and wear my hair down to cover my ears, I understand theres alot of stigma with body modification and I get judged on it hence doing this. I want to either be a piercer or a photographer - maybe both, why not! I dont have a job at the moment but I live in fucking Middlesbrough - there is literally nothing here, ive even started applying for jobs in Newcastle.

A. Possibly, I cant predict the future - I know what mods I want and ive wanted alot of them for years, I waited 4 years before I got my tongue split. I dont get something done unless Im sure that I want it. Everything that i'll have done barring scarification and branding is pretty much reversable.

A. Pink or purple.
