Ok here is the Wired article on the aussie guy who may be the original creator of bitcoin. It's an interesting read.
Wired article on Bitcoin possible Bitcoin creator
News report on the raid on his home which happened a few days after the Wired article was published but is apparently unconnected.
News article on police raid on Craig Wrights home
I cant find the article debunking the claim that Craig Wright is Satoshi. I will look later.
Forgive me if I'm wrong but that first article
reeks of Hansel and Gretel to me.
What would the mass media jump on more than the notion of crytocurrency inception being the work of a lone computer genius just as eccentric as he is intelligent?
The central powers of BTC (oh the irony of such in the quintessential decentralised market) are likely to be aware of the "fall guy" notion that even a child could comprehend and are more than capable of executing it.
The first evidence pointing to Wright appeared in mid-November, when an anonymous source close to Wright began leaking documents
John Doe claiming they are "close to" the mysterious identity provides specific documents suggesting Wright as creator for no reason.
immediately led to several direct, publicly visible connections between Nakamoto and Wright
The leaks establish links visible in the public domain.
One is which is an archived copy of a deleted blog post: "That ... was later replaced with the rather cryptic text “Bitcoin – AKA bloody nosey you be…It does always surprise me how at times the best place to hide [is] right in the open.”
May as well be waving a flag reading "Guys, look over
here!".
In response to a media email acknowledging the perfectly manicured and organised trail of breadcrumbs as being followed: "the people in Panama are exteremly [sic] good and do not violate people’s desired privacy".
A mentally deficient puppy wouldn't be stupid enough to give away their location so easily, never mind an autodidact academic being sought by the FBI.
“You seem to know a few things. More than you should.” - yes, you're on the right track you inquisitive scamps you! Foiled, gosh darn it.
"comparisons of different archived versions of the three smoking gun posts from Wright’s blog show that he did edit all three—to insert evidence of his bitcoin history".
Not exactly fitting the
modus operandi of a cryptographer, is it?
"Some of the clues added to his blog were made more than 20 months ago" - you mean as in the period of time that SR's iterations were seized and the lamb stole ~$40,000,000 leading to even more intense scrutiny of the dark web? The time when it'd be a pretty good idea to cover tracks and lay decoys?
"he’s even peppered Twitter with hints (Though he also deleted many of those earlier this month and made his tweets private)".
Gaining and retaining global attention through unencrypted social media in such a way that wouldn't be out of place in a pubescent attention seeking teenager?
Doesn't really bode well for the cryptoking with a 9 figure fortune, does it?
