EADD Bitcoins 2

Anyone else tempted to invest a bit whilst the price is so low? I'm assuming its low because of the recent Ulbricht sentencing, but I'm sure this will all be forgotten about eventually. Or do you think we'll never see anything like the $1000 peak of a couple of years ago?

I've got 0.02BTC sat in an account on a DNM site, maybe eventually it'll be worth enough to buy some treats with heh.

Tis tempting

Had you guys put your money where your mouth's are, right now you would have doubled, your bubble.

They've been hovering around 300 for a while now, I didn't think they'd rebound like that again. I imagine the actual value of them is around the 150 mark, the rest is people trying to invest

I noticed this.. The £50 or so I had left over is now worth just over £100...

Yes, but it's all like one of those game shows on daytime telly; where you spend most of the programme building up a nice-looking prize fund, then lose the whole lot in an all-or-nothing final round.

TBH I think I'd rather be skint and know it than worrying what my investments were worth. (I have one major asset to my name, a two-up, two-down Victorian terraced house (DG, GCH, 1.5 Bth, SP, GSOH) just outside the city centre, and I know exactly how much that is worth: My home. If I was to become unemployed, I have enough money in the bank ..... for my bus fare to the dole office.)

Thought you weren't into drugs, Raasy? So just curious as to why you'd take any remote interest in bitcoins?

Bit coins cover various things Evey, but your point is very much taken! =D

Thanks Sadie. I waan't aware of this. Apologies, Raaey :)

Perhaps the guy made an investment, like many others? Is this a tiff?

What's a tiff? No I was asking a question is all, which has been answered so I will now depart from this thread <3

Indeed, I just enjoy [trying to] making money out of the sordid dark web and other peoples bad habits. No intention of getting fucked up myself.

Fixed that for you.

lol, don't get catty with me, Joshy Boy... I take it you didn't double the bubble? Are you still sour about Utopia then? haha

As the prototypical cryptocurrency BTC is becoming more and more commonplace for general transactions.

I'm quite interested in this currency now. Wasn't this created by that Ross guy who had Silk Road? I jusr assumed that it was jusr for drugs or this dark web things but think I may look through these threads n Googke to find out more, about tge historu etc. I see Raasy on this thread a lot so that's why I was interested n asked about it. I wonder how much you get compared with the pound n how to get these bitcoinss (are we allowed to ask tgis?)

Thanks everyone for answering my question abouy this <3

Bitcoins creation have nothing to do with Silk Road or anyone involved in it. No one actually knows who created bitcoins. There have been theories but nothing solid. Its a total mystery.

Awh thanks for letting me know that. I read somewhere it was linked to Silk Road but was probably a rumour. 'Tis interesting though. You coming to tiny chat, Con?

There was a raid on a guy in Australia on tax related matters not related to bitcoin. He had been named as a very high possibility of being "Satoshi" the creator of bitcoin and certainly there was a lot of things pointing to him as being involved. However Gizmodo and other sites published articles pretty quickly debunking those claims so its still unclear if that guy is in fact the main man. I will try and find the articles when i get home.
