damn btc-e is looking like the Microsoft Windows scientific calculator these days. there used to be like 4 buttons. then a second row started forming. then Chinacoin happened somehow (ok that one was def a ponzi scheme)
now its like "do you want to trade your currency for cryptocurrency, real currency, or just a Random Acronym Generator that is forever pegged to .002/btc
at least the trollbox still exists. they were always pretty up front about it being nonsense though, btc-e has really been the silent but steady player in this whole thing. at first people were like "errmergerd russian hosted AVOID AVOID" only for Mt Gox to fall off because theyre retarded and then a flood of people were like "uhh I think they accidentally put an L in BTC. its what? different? and four times faster? and the same damn thing conceptually? my god"
as if anything related to this shit should be trusted fully. I'd trust eastern europeans with quasi illegal shit over companies in first world countries 10/10 times
I like the idea of scrypt-n, except its kind of counter intuitive to have a large variety of those coins since nobody will be using ASICS to pump up the network hash rate which is the ultimate goal for any coin from a technical standpoint. Nobody agrees on shit though and until there's some kind of standards set Im not touching any of this with a radeon because these coins come and go like Memes anymore.
shit, coins ARE MEMES anymore.
it's a joke, but only right now.
and motherfucking China has to be the wild card in everything like they always are. what is going on with btc in china? legal? not legal? quasi legal (aka not legal in china punishable by death)
I have a feeling the govt is going to shut it down faster than a downhill rickshaw ride, but only because its China
