Misc Dyethyl ether (diethyl-ether)

well i've been going to pharmacies to buy dxm and benzydamine many times lmao so i guess i've already been lol :P
but if you say so maybe I'll try to get it from some other source

This is funny. This is also serious.

Please read: it is not, nor has been, legitimately sold in licensed pharmacies of Europe's/The United States' for almost 100 years. It is essentially only used in advanced chemistry labs; I think its a solvent. Do not ask for it or you might get into trouble.

You can't "easily mix ether with water". It will seperate out in layers, like oil. You'll only be able to dissolve a very small amount in water, making one of the worst tasting drinks ever.

OK thanks. I wasn't sure if it was considered synthesis and if I had to avoid mentioning the non-polar properties of ether as a solvent if somebody wanted to extract APAP or a like substance from a preparation like Vicodin to isolate the opioid.

ether is a bad solvent for doing that because acetaminophen is too polar & has low solubility in ether. chloroform or ethyl acetate are better choices.

69g of ether per liter of water is not a very small amount, it's a huge amount. Very small amount would be haxane with 9.5 mg/L water solubility. Only if you try to disolve more than 69g/L that it forms 2 layers. If you divide that solubility by ether denisity you get:

69g/0.71g/mL = 97mL of ether in 1L of water which is close to 10%

It is often mixed with sugar to make better taste. I'm surprised you try to correct me, given my professional background ^.^
